Nintendo GamerA cute, straightforward, funny and demanding puzzle title. [Oct 2009, p.67]
-
Ultimately, Octomania comes off as a shining example of what a puzzle title can do despite being burdened with cultural barriers a mile wide and irritating characters.
-
Octomania is definitely less accessible than say, Dr. Mario or Tetris, but its infectious charm won us over and assuaged a lot of our initial control-related frustrations. From its upbeat theme song, to its offbeat characters, everything about Octomania’s presentation had us wanting to play more.
-
Octomania is a cute puzzle game, but that won't keep you coming back for more.
-
Octomania is fun but there isn't enough to it. Align some Octopi, form combos, repeat.
-
Once I had more training at Octo-puzzle, I was able to advance to another difficulty level which was much more of a challenge. It also made the game more fun, even though I was just repeating my journey.
-
Octomania is not by any stretch a terrible game. It is a very lightly featured game with absolutely no frills and a decently fun battle mode that can provide a nice experience at times.
