Pelit (Finland)An interactive joke and a good one at that. The controls aren't quite sharp enough, though. [May 2010]
-
It's short, addictive, and a wonderful novelty for gatherings. An online leaderboard would have been cool, but Wii owners are still getting a worthwhile addition to their library with this one.
-
Muscle March is a lot of fun simply because it’s just so damn strange. It’s definitely worth a download, even if you only pull it to make your friends’ jaws hit the floor from time-to-time.
-
It comes down to this: Muscle March is shallow, stupid, short, repetitive and crude. It's also the best WiiWare game I've ever played.
-
Muscle March has unique aesthetics and personality, which is very praiseworthy, but its gameplay is somewhat limited.
-
If you dig zany Japanese games or if you're just searching for something dumb to play during your alcoholic nights with friends, easily go for it: Muscle March is definitely the game for you. You'll have fun for a while and you'll discover the beefcake homo-macho that's in you!
-
Muscle March is short, repetitive, and refers you to a paranormal difficulty when you are about to blow it up.
-
Muscle March has many flaws in terms of gameplay and control detection and it's also really short in its single player mode. Nevertheless, this is an entertaining game to play with friends (even for a short time), with a characterization that surely will bring many laughs for everyone.
-
Official Nintendo Magazine UKIt's wacky and fun but the unresponsive gameplay doesn't justify the price tag. [May 2010, p.89]
-
It's short, crazy and fun. It’s definitely worth a download.
-
Muscle March is definitely good for a laugh and the giggles you get might be worth the $5 price tag. But the person playing will not have as much fun as the people watching.
-
As long as you’re not expecting a deep and rewarding gameplay experience, it’s tough to really go wrong with Muscle March. It's bizarre by design and kind of shallow, which may not be everyone's cup of tea, but if the idea of ludicrously muscular chases through walls tickles your funny bone then Muscle March is a great way to spend 500 Points.
-
It's not deep, it's short, it's crazy, it's basic, but in the end it's fun. Muscle March is not our typical game nowadays, but it delivers what it promises: seven guys half-naked running after thieves. It's best to enjoy the game with friends, as it doesn't offer much for single player.
-
A bit strange, but fun. It’s too bad the game is very short and the controls are anything but precise, but you’ll laugh until tomorrow thanks to the crazy bodybuilders and their sexy moves.
-
Nintendo GamerIt's ridiculous, but it's executed so garishly, and revels in its own absurdity with such confidence, that you can forgive it for being the shallow nonsense that it is. [Apr 2010, p.76]
-
Simple gameplay, insane story, and over-the-top characters makes this an absurd purchase. After 5 minutes you have seen everything the game has to offer, but it is cheap and a good laugh.
-
The problem is that the motion sensing is abysmal; the game will frequently misread your commands, resulting in your character shuffling through the stances until he either miraculously makes it through or smashes his head into a bloody pulp.
-
Namco Bandai wisely placed heavy emphasis on the sensory overload graphics, and the reason is clear: if you aren't laughing at the craziness, the game itself might actually drive you mad.
-
It seems contradictory that a game about girthy bodybuilders (and their polar-bear friend) can be so crushingly thin.
