It's a decent baseball game with good AI and gameplay. The player looking for a more serious baseball game or a perfect Wii Sports replica should look elsewhere. However, it is an enjoyable game ^^

The controls are pretty spot on and the game play is great as well. Expand

The single player mode in Mario Super Sluggers is too short. As well, the gameplay doesn't involve enough baseball games in single player. Instead, there are challenges. Mario Super Sluggers is a decent game for the Wii.

Feels fun to play for just the first few hours. Mario makes baseball look insanely fun until the next 4 hours which comes to mind that you'll say, "I want to play something different now." Buy or not, it's still fun for just 4 hours.

Not as good as superstar baseball but this game is still good but can be flawed. Like the gameplay it can lack and the game gets repetitive so its good but flawed.

I have a great deal of nostalgia for this game, but I think it's possible for me to be objective.

This game is stale. It's boring, for the most part. It's annoying. It doesn't bring anything new to the table, for a Mario sports game. It's unremarkable. But... it kind of isn't? I mean, there are things to appreciate about this game. The design for each of the stadiums are cute. The

    But... it kind of isn't?

I mean, there are things to appreciate about this game. The design for each of the stadiums are cute. The roster is pretty comprehensive. It looks less boring than the game previous. The soundtrack is nice. The story mode can be funny, and fun. The cutscenes have an interesting style, and are fun to watch.

It is an average sports game, but its charm awards it a bonus point.

It isn't quite the game we were hoping for, but taken as another Mario sports game rather than a baseball sim, it's as solid and enjoyable as you'd expect. [JPN Import; Sept 2008, p.52]

A step back for Wii baseball controls, but enough of a gameplay leap to warrant playing. [Sept 2008, p.70]

This baseball diamond loses some of its luster with occasionally confusing or clunky play (it's too easy to accidentally pitch or swing prematurely), but the game's simplified approach is great for sports-curious gamers looking to avoid the complexities of a real simulation. [Oct 2008, p.87]
