This is a game that is filled with a simple yet endearing story, excellent game mechanics, eye-popping visuals, a challenging collection element, and a surprisingly bittersweet ending that will make you want to play it all over again, especially to see the once-static cinematics recreated in full 3D. Klonoa is one of the best platforming games of all time and this is a superior remake of an already flawless original.

While platforming titles have certainly become more intricate and flashy over the years, Namco's update of their original Klonoa title proves that even a decade-old platformer can still hold its own when a developer puts the time and effort into it. If you're a platformer fan, you absolutely must own this wonderfully charming title.

But despite the short length and difficulty, Klonoa’s classic strengths far outweigh its long forgotten weaknesses. Whether you were a fan of the original or a curious newcomer, Door to Phantomile is a wonderful experience that deserves to reach the reception it has long deserved.

Klonoa doesn't make amazing nor innovative use of the Wii's control capabilities, yet it is a shining example of how the bare minimum of pad usage can still create an excellent game.

The best part about this new remake of Klonoa is that it's going for the discounted price of $29.99. Considering the game won't take you an especially long time to finish, that's a great price for a classic platformer that still has some appeal for modern players while also being charming enough for younger kids to get into, as well.

The Wii remake of Klonoa smartly left the original's essentials alone, expanding the formula with a vibrant, refreshed look, and a world that not only looks a lot better, but moves more fluidly. Klonoa: The Door to Phantomile is a polished version of a 2D-platformer that was released on the Playstation more than a decade ago. The gameplay is simple, well structured and offers just the right amount of challenge. Klonoa isn't one of the lengthiest games, but looks and plays great.

Klonoa Door to Phantomile is one of the best adaptations to the next generation we've ever seen. Unfortunately, it doesn't bring any big new features in comparison with the original.

Klonoa is back in an awesome remake which represents one of the few games that, in the late 90's, fused the 2D traditional gameplay with the emerging and stunning 3D graphics. An authentic dream come true in Wii. Don't miss the opportunity of playing this game if you're a nostalgic gamer.

No matter how many years have passed, Klonoa is still a great platformer, and here on Wii it boosts a nice visual upgrade: however, Bandai Namco did nothing to improve the length of the game, which can be easily completed in five hours or so.

This is certainly no Super Mario Galaxy, but it is a more than respectable entry in the platforming universe.

Fun but short, magic but easy ... Klonoa jumps into Wii to become one of the best platform-games in 2.5D of the console. Jumps, colour and funny dreams for everyone, although it only lasts for the length of a nap.
