Plenty of people would rather sit on the sofa, thanks, and play a proper videogame with guns, and good for them. But small girls, show-offs and people who are too drunk to care in the first place will have a great time with Just Dance.
-
Just Dance can be a whole lot of fun for the right audience, and that audience is sure to love it despite its very basic nature. In any event, it's at least worth renting to laugh with (at) your friends.
-
Poor motion controls and wafer-thin gameplay make Just Dance a mediocre entry into the rhythm game genre.
-
Just Dance has all the right ideas, but all the wrong mechanics. Below average graphics and a flawed rating system were the difference in this game coming more dud than hit.
-
Just Dance is the sort of game that you should know if you’re going to hate it or not just from taking a moment to examine the box. If the thought of recreating Katy Perry and Kylie Minogue videos in your living room makes you want to bash your head into a wall, then you probably don’t need me to tell you that this game will drive you to act on that desire.

Nintendo GamerTechnically flawed but undeniably fun with the right company (and probably several crates of beer). [Mar 2010, p.66]
-
In a way, Just Dance is just like an up- and-coming dancer. It's very rough but shows promise, especially when played with friends.
-
Official Nintendo Magazine UKJust Dance is a facilitator, not a game. [Mar 2010, p.87]
-
Pelit (Finland)The first actual dancing game. The music selection is great, but the movement detection should be a little bit better. It's quite fun with friends, nonetheless. [June 2010]
-
It's not up to the high standard set by other music games like SingStar and Guitar Hero, but it's good enough to please wannabe dancers.
