This game is by far the most uninteresting game of the series. In fact it may be in the ranks of worst DANCE game of all time; along with the IN THE GROOVE games.
The song selection for this game is very poor, to the point that I pitty any party which hosts this game. A vapid selection of remixed "classics" and a plethora of even more disappointing newly released songs will put a bad

The song selection for this game is very poor, to the point that I pitty any party which hosts this game. A vapid selection of remixed "classics" and a plethora of even more disappointing newly released songs will put a bad taste in any true DDR fan's mouth.
If it's a challenging and tournament worthy song you want you are better off getting one of the more pathetic titles like "Cutie Chaser" from Extreme.
Anyway, if you're a fan of any of the other DDR games I suggest bypassing this waste and getting one of the DDR Universe for the xbox 360.

  1. Definitely a disappointment. The original Hottest Party did a lot for the franchise by adding the hand movements, and it would have been nice to see some more innovation implemented in the sequel. As it stands, however, Hottest Party 2 is almost exactly the same as its predecessor, just with different songs. Since the majority of those aren't even that good, it's better to just pass on this party.

Try it out with some friends and you won't be disappointed. [Nov 2008, p.106]
  3. An above-average dancing affair for the Wii that delivers familiar graphics, forgettable songs and no online options. If you liked the original, you might dig this one, but it's not worth our time.
