Both the presentation and the gameplay mechanics are dated by today's standards, and yet if you grew up with games of this type, you may find yourself more forgiving of the title's shortcomings than new-generation players will be.
-
Visuals remain unchanged from the original PC debut, and while they didn’t look the best back then, they look absolutely archaic now. Character models are poorly animated, and lip-synching is a bit jarring in how off it can be.
-
While the game is a budget title that still doesn’t excuse its myriad flaws and failings.
-
Official Nintendo Magazine UKSleuthing is largely irrelevant as the characters keel over whatever you do. [Mar 2008, p.75]
-
You're far better off reading the book. It's cheaper, too.
-
AceGamezA lazy port of a rather under-whelming PC release. The Wii has been criticized, and rightly so, for porting over far too many sub-standard games with poorly implemented use of the Wiimote tacked on to justify their release - And Then There Were None will do nothing but strengthen that argument tenfold.
-
Even at $29.99, Agatha Christine: And Then There Were None has far too many visual and gameplay issues to warrant a purchase. Buy the book instead.
-
I'd like to encourage The Adventure Company to bring more point-and-clicks to Wii, but please, please make them better than this.
-
But as a Wii title in 2008, a few added control gimmicks can't save this from the bargain bin of the slowing trend PS2 and PC ports that just shouldn't be.
-
I’m not sure if AWE Games understands the point of adventure games. Players want to go somewhere, live through danger, and feel a sense of accomplishment for overcoming the obstacles. Agatha Christie: And Then There Were None has none of that. Most of the time, you’re just waiting for someone else to die.
-
This might be enjoyable for some of the retirement home crowd that is partial to the Wii, but everyone still having a strong pulse will want to avoid it.
-
Agatha Christie would turn over in her grave if she knew what kind of horrible game they made out of her wonderful book.
