    Almost perfect game. The music and the lack of volume adjustments made it hard to follow the incredible story.

    The best xenoblade game for me because it focuses on exploring. The story is dumb but every xenoblade story is full of emotion but dumb as **** :D The characters are cute but annoying but it didn't bother me because the gameplay, the possibilities, the joy of freedom and exploring is the best in this game. And the music OMG! Hiroyuki Sawano made the best ost in the entire Xenosaga. YouThe best xenoblade game for me because it focuses on exploring. The story is dumb but every xenoblade story is full of emotion but dumb as **** :D The characters are cute but annoying but it didn't bother me because the gameplay, the possibilities, the joy of freedom and exploring is the best in this game. And the music OMG! Hiroyuki Sawano made the best ost in the entire Xenosaga. You can customize your charachter in every way. You can make a dual lightsaber wielding warrior or a dual gun wielder, big sword wielder etc and not to mention the giant mechs wich you aquire in the game. You can transform it into a tank or a jet and roam the sky. Awesome game and i hope it gets a switch port.… Expand

    An overlooked classic. Definitely needs a port. You'll be surprised by the world and its ever-evolving mechanics. Highly recommended if you are a sci-fi fan and need to get away from the stresses of everyday life. This game, and its worlds, deliver. Oh, highly recommended you get an external drive for this one and a way to charge your Wii U handheld.

    After I couldn't get in to Xenoblade on Switch, I tried this. I loved it and then quickly realised it is a big open world exploration game, which is not for me at all.

    Now if that is for you then this is 10/10 but the OST is not even close to as good as Xenoblade and OST is important to me. I went back to Xenoblade and have to say it blows X out of the water.     However if you like open world games, this is a big beautiful open world. I tend to prefer animation game world's but this was fantastic.

    This is really a 6/10 for my personal enjoyment but if levelling, exploring and open world are your thing, then it doesn't get much better than this. I am still in two minds as to whether I want to trade this in yet but I am now at the last boss on Xenoblade and X doesn't compare for me as I love Xenoblades story. X doesn't really have much story.

    Fantastic game and the battle system has a horrible learning curve but is fun once it clicks.

    I am still giving a 10 score because I think if I look at it in context, rather than my personal view then it deserves a 10.    … Expand

    A pesar de ser tardía la evaluación. El juego es increíble y sus combates con los Mecas mas su música realmente es épica, es una lastima que no pueda ser porteada a Switch. Pero si quieres probar un buen JRPG no te arrepentirás.

    One of the most underrated games in history, considering it came out in 2015 for the Nintendo Wii U, the story is not as amazing as the other Xenoblade games, but in terms of RPG development this game surpass everything, must play!

    This is what PSO2 NGS is trying to be. I just wish the Xeno Series had the guts to go and create a MMO. Especially seeing you can custom build your own Mech, like in Armored Core.

    Seriously i dont understand how people can put a 10 on this scam of jrpg, even for the time is was created; the maps are unreadable and need to be reajusted, thanks to the zoom and unreadable; fast travel demands going back map area by map area,area and town are too large only for the sake of making you walking around , big empty space, with unreadable maps, great...

    The system is overly-complicated, can't complete the game without looking up for guides. Power-leveling /money grinding is also a must. The world is huge and it does look epic at times but it just isn't rewarding enough to keep me exploring.
    What I like is the music, its awesome throughout game. The gameplay feels like a big improvement over the first, with it feeling even better than the already fantastic gameplay Xenoblade Chronicles had.     I want to like this game, but unfortunately, it doesn't live up to the superior first game. The story adds unnecessary shock via its meaningless plot twists, and the characters are downright annoying. At least the music and combat are good.

    This game feels less like a Xenoblade game, and more similar to open-world games like a breath of the wild. Xenoblade Chronicles X focuses more on exploration and side content and puts less emphasis on the story. Despite the differences with the other games in the franchise, this game is still amazing.     Xenoblade Chronicles X is my favorite game of all time and with reason. Seeing all the species coexisting on planet Mira you really feel on a living planet that thrives on its own. It makes you feel like an outsider, where for once the human race is no on top of the food chain and this game paints that picture spectacularly. And just as you feel you've explored everything on the planet the game gives you a big flying robot (a skell) that changes both the exploration and the combat beautifully. The exploration, combat, and making bonds with the citizens of New L.A. are by far the best things in this game. The most common reason this game gets hated on is because of the story but you have to realize that this isn't a masterpiece because of its twelve chapters, it's a masterpiece because it is capable of creating a sense of scale I have never experienced before, it manages to bring you into it's world better than Botw and any other open-world j/rpg. Yes the battle system is hard to learn, yes the menus and skills are confusing, but after you see past that you see the beautiful masterpiece of a video-game that is Xenoblade Chronicles X.

    Oh also a port to switch would be amazing.

    I'm editing my review 2 seconds after submitting it because I realized I forgot about the soundtrack. The music in this game is phenomenal and goes so well with the theme. It's so fun to explore an alien world while listen to beautiful music, take my word for it. The music is so good it makes what could be repetitive battles into something to look forward too. Enough said, this game is beautiful, buy it and buy a wii u if you don't have one.    … Expand

    An incoherent, overwhelming mess of gameplay systems and menus that gets far too caught up in itself to hold any value as a video game. Story is meaningless and goes nowhere.

    I was surprised how much i liked this game. After a slow start and a few boring missions the story and combat really pick up quick and had me hooked to my TV for hours on end. The extremely complicated systems slowly started to make sense and everything fell into place.
    If you stopped playing this game, try to give it another chance. It gets really damn good!

    My favorite game by a long shot, and I’m hard to please.

    Chances are nobody is gonna read this, and that’s fine. I’m here for the % increase to the overall user score.

    Everything about this game is awesome. Very few downsides, Almost all of which can be credited to technology limitations. If only we had a switch port, I’d buy the damn thing

    Xenoblade X... a fantastic experience. It is the best WiiU game in my opinion. You get a completely beautiful open world, good story, good combat, everything you need. Here are my posited and negatives about the game.

    Positives: - really big open world - a lot to explore - good character design - interesting story - better combat system then in the first game - many side quests to do -    Xenoblade X... a fantastic experience.     - a lot to explore
    - good character design
    - interesting story
    - better combat system then in the first game
    - many side quests to do
    - hard but fair bosses
    - amazing soundtrack - fantastic graphics, especially for WiiU standards Negatives:
    - caused of the free open world, lots of enemies which are highly over levelled - especially in the ending chapters, a lot of grinding is needed
    - when you start a harmony quest you have to end it and you can not start a new chapter or other kinds of quests during that time
    - some quality of life problems in the game

    So yes, the game has its problems, but still it is an amazing action RPG. It is the worst Xenoblade, but that doesn’t say that the game is bad, but more how good the entire series is. I recommend this game to everyone who likes exploring a massiv open world, likes a good written story, likes figuring out new tactics in combat and every RPG fan.

    this game is an absolute masterpiece and honestly deserves more praise easily my favorite game on the Wii u it has the best world I've ever explored in any Xenoblade game

    It‘s 2020 and a game on the Wii U still has an active Community. I think this itself speaks volumes. :) The open world is massive with no place you can‘t go. The combat system is very unique. Might be hard to get into, but once you do the possible builds or ways to play the game are simple endless. This is no game you play for the story.     We got used to developers promising huge worlds to explore, but there’s no other game where the world is so overwhelmingly vast. I honestly don’t know how much time you have to invest in Xenoblade Chronicles X to see everything this game has to offer. [02/2016, p.60]
