Jul 28, 2015The Binding of Isaac Rebirth is my go-to game when I want something familiar but new. Detach yourself from the subject matter and it's great dungeon-crawler with lots of replayability.

Aug 7, 2015Weird
I found my experience of this game weird and annoying. Not the worst out there but I wouldn't recommend it. I also find some of it to be outright disturbing, so I am glad I played it on a college pal's laptop, not my own. -
Dec 11, 2015Binding of Isaac: Rebirth offers a lot of randomised levels, which ends up in a lot of different experiences during pays, which is refreshing. Its port to WiiU is functional; you might play only on the GamePad; but if you choose to play with a Pro controller, it just plays as a PC version of the game.

May 10, 2020The game itself is great... on any other platform.
Just don't buy it on Wii U unless you'd like to be stuck with rather antique cash-grab version of this game.
The game still lives and evolves on other platforms.
Here, on Wii U it's abandoned in its 2017'ish (at best) state. With no DLCs and no booster packs.

Dec 26, 2015The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth picks up on the legacy of The Binding of Isaac and improves on the original on its technical and content fronts to create a varied, interesting and challenging adventure game. Inspiration from the original Legend of Zelda is visible on Rebirth's level design but it won't just be Zelda fans who will appreciate this new chapter in the Binding of Isaac series. A new landmark in the growing sector of independent game designers.

Nintendo Force MagazineSep 30, 2015The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth is a modern classic that everyone with even a passing interest in top-down action/exploration games should try. [Issue #17 – September/October 2015, p.23]

Jul 30, 2015All of its various elements just click together well, creating a solid game that will be hard to put down as you struggle your way to the deepest recesses of Isaac's basement.
