Pelit (Finland)Jan 23, 2013Wow, what a crappy game! No thanks! No thanks! No thanks! [Jan 2013]
-
Dec 5, 2012Finding entertainment in Tank Tank Tank is like panning for gold in the bathtub – you're not going to find anything. I can see a group of businessmen amusing themselves with the game at a bar during happy hour, but they'd never want to bring that experience home. Like a culturally sensitive foreign joke, Tank Tank Tank fails to translate.
-
Nov 26, 2012Tank! Tank! Tank! Is a questionable budget game that gets sold for nearly full price. Driving around in a tank and shooting everything into the afterlife barely manages to entertain for a few hours at the most, not in the least because levels have to be replayed over and over again. The multiplayer might entertain a bit more thanks to hectic action, but that too gets old really soon.
-
Nov 18, 2012Clumsy, visually sub-par, and disrespectful of the player's time. While it revels in its own stupidity and hopes you'll do the same, it's one of those sad games that believes a ridiculous concept is enough to make for a worthwhile game, and in Tank! Tank! Tank!'s case, that's just not true. Indeed, there's nothing more upsetting than a game that believes, if it's wacky enough, it can get away with being crap.

Nov 20, 2012If you're not looking for a game that shows off the Wii U's unique properties (other than the off-screen play for multiplayer) and just want a time killer with some decently fun on-couch multiplayer, then run out and buy this game. For the rest of you, I recommend waiting for a price drop or a weekend rental.

Hyper MagazineFeb 11, 2013Aside from a few moments of tank on robot action, Tank! Tank! Tank! fails to live up to the promise of its gloriously stupid name. [March 2013, p.84]
-
Dec 14, 2012Almost fun in multiplayer, but overall: this really stank, stank, stank.
-
Dec 6, 2012At its heart, this is a bad port of an average arcade game from 2009. While the multiplayer occasionally delights, the rest of the experience feels unfinished. The single player is a meaningless grind with little to offer aside from a skeletal story. TANK! TANK! TANK! might have served as a passable downloadable title, but as a full retail game it's one of the Wii U's worst launch titles.
-
Dec 4, 2012In the end, Tank! Tank! Tank! feels like a game that should have been stripped of its single-player and sold on the eShop as a multiplayer-only experience. The only true redeeming quality of the solo experience is the presentation, which is the same in multiplayer. It isn't the worst of the Wii U launch titles, but it certainly is nowhere near the best.
-
Nov 27, 2012Though it can be fun with friends in short bursts, Tank! Tank! Tank! doesn't have nearly enough depth or content to remain enjoyable for long.
-
Games Master UKJan 15, 2013An awful game that does nothing for Wii U and less for your sanity. [Feb 2013, p.75]
-
Dec 1, 2012Tank! Tank! Tank! is hard to recommend on any level. It's short on content, fails to take much advantage of the Wii U hardware, lacks gameplay depth, and quickly becomes monotonous. It holds some charm for those who enjoy massive creature flicks, but everyone else should steer clear despite its discounted price tag. Launch day surprise, this is not.
-
Dec 18, 2012It fails to deliver on its B-movie premise; it fails to make consistent use of the Wii U's GamePad or its graphical horsepower; but most damningly, it fails to create the basic sensation of driving a tank - unforgivable, considering the exclamatory title.
-
Nintendo PowerDec 14, 2012Given that it's a little more than a lazy arcade port, Tank! Tank! Tank! has no business as a $50 retail release. [Dec 2012, p.82]
-
Dec 17, 2012With workable controls, this could have been a half-decent, low-priced download game. As it stands, however, it's one of the worst games on the platform and one of the worst launch games on any system, ever. Avoid.
-
Dec 10, 2012A Fisher Price version of Earth Defense Force could have been fun, but this doesn't even try to offer any lasting entertainment, let alone value for money.
-
Dec 5, 2012Playing Tank! Tank! Tank! feels like wasting time better spent elsewhere. The game is uninspired, tiresome and boring. Perhaps the concept works better at the arcade halls, but it's pointless as a console game.
-
Nov 28, 2012The visuals would have been already outdated in the Dreamcast era, the gameplay is as monotonous as it can get. I don't think that Reggie Fils-Aime had this game in mind when he said that Microsoft and Sony need to react to Nintendo.
-
Dec 11, 2012So completely superficial, Tank! Tank! Tank! will never require any form of thinking on your part. It's repetitive, and dull.
-
Nov 30, 2012People, it's great if you're making a trash-themed game. I'm all for it. Tanks vs. Gorilla-Mechs, you almost had this one in the bag. I don't even have anything against the gameplay itself being trashy. But Tank!Tank!Tank! is just garbage. It's a cheap little stinker of a buggy mini game that didn't even know what hit it, when it ended up on a retail disc.
