Expect no less from Nintendo, they did a great job on this game. I've been pretty disappointed with other gaming company's especially Ubisoft.. Nintendo does what no other company can do these days and that's to bring out a fun game that works.

This Nintendo consoles iteration is filled to the brim with content. From a revamped Classic mode to Special Orders, you'll be spending a lot of time trying to even touch one of the numerous game modes.

The presentation and graphics are actually stunning apart from a few old stages that didn't really get an HD treatment in my opinion (Bridge of Eldin, I'm looking at you). The character roster is also very big this time around and surprisingly balanced (Greninja is a bit cheap, especially online).

Speaking of online in terms of game modes I think it's near perfect but in terms of performance I did experience some lag but let me tell you it's a LOT better than Brawl was in this aspect.

Last complaint is that I really wanted another Subspace Emissary type of story just like in Brawl. That instead of Smash Tour would have been so much better.

I'm giving it a 10/10 just because I can't go in between so I guess I'm saying I recommend this to anyone.

1.The curve of learning advanced tactics is just as extense

There are some great trophies of Nintendo's past, an improved Classic Mode that is tons of fun, and many other exciting modes!

The trailers for the video really hyped it up, and it was worth the wait! Villager! MegaMan! Rosalina! Greninja! Little Mac! Pac-Man! Palutena! Shulk! Robin! Lucina! Bowser Jr.! Duck Hunt Dog! A great roster, for a great game.

However, the online is a huge disappointment. There is no option to play with stocks (or stocks with a time limit). By not providing this option it essentially ruins the online experience for people who greatly prefer using stock mode. Indeed, this is the tournament standard (with a time limit allocated, of course). Unfortunately, this incredibly ridiculous oversight, means that the online mode may as well not exist for many Smash players.

Unfortunately, this seems to be Nintendo's way. They produce great content, but their inability to listen to their fans always leads to some awkward weakness that would have been incredibly easy to avoid.

Still, this is a great game. Nintendo has crafted a wonderful game for people to play with their friends, just not online.

The multiplayer plays a lot smoother than the 3ds version with games being easy to find and usually lag free. However, aside from the main game the extra additions like smash tour are just terrible and can't even compete with the mediocre extras from smash on the 3ds especially the laughably small stage builder items list. On the competitive side though smash 4 seems like a solid entry. Nowhere near as a flop as brawl, but enough to keep it different from melee and with patches to balance characters out it only makes competitive gameplay even more satisfying. Expand

The biggest is the lack of a story mode. It feels empty without one. It's almost entirely a multiplayer experience, and that isnt a bad thing. Super Smash Brothers is best with friends. And boy does it really shine with that.

Also the Amiibo function was not clearly explained. I thought it was a customizable character that you can use and save upgrades and scores on, like a skylander (more or less) It turned out to be a self controlling AI that Fights for you, with upgrades and saveable equipment and so on. At first I was thinking. What's the point? Then i discovered if you do team battles for you, they level up. And you essentially get a portable Teammate with stats. That's pretty cool.

Not perfect, but pretty darn good. Worth the buy
