    Probably Devil's Third won't be a masterpiece or a great game but it was really underestimated. The game-play is fast, well paced and controls aren't that pain in the neck. There are signs of a troubled development and the mix between tps and melee action could have used more work, but we are far from the crazy 2/10 or 4/10 critics are giving to this game. It's worth a try.

    Don't let all the negative reviews get to you. this is a Developer that didn't spent tons of money on advertising so it's they're not getting an automatic 7 or 8 out of 10 at IGN or GameSpot.This is a Play for your self to decide kinda game.

    I´d rate 7,5. It´s a pretty good "B" type action game. Of course it is dump, but i had a lot of fun playing it. If there wasn´t so many FPS drops, i´d give 8/10. Don´t let critics fool you, it is a really good and fun game.

    ya lo pude adquirir y la verdad solo por los graficos lo demas si esta entretenido!! no es del todo malo la intencion fue muy buena lo malo esque no se pudo lograr lo que se esperaba... pero si es un titulo digno de comprar por que es el clasico juego que con el tiempo lo van a buscar los coleccionistas!!"

    I bought this game expecting one of the worst game of the year, but geez..it turns out to be an addicting, albeit technically flawed brawler-shooter hybrid. Yes..it has frame rate drops..yes, it looks jagged in many areas, but heck..it plays really well, similar to Itagaki's own Ninja Gaiden. So haters will still be haters and will think that the Wii U is just a toy..but the fact is I haveI bought this game expecting one of the worst game of the year, but geez..it turns out to be an addicting, albeit technically flawed brawler-shooter hybrid.     A simple honest review

    Devils third singleplayer? well what can I say.... its shoddy, looks like it was put together without any major thought into the development boss battles are very dull, and frame rate drops are horrible.     That being said, the single player wasn't terrible. its one of those single player games where you have your mates over for a few beers and laugh at how gory yet hilariously put together. The sudden changes in Ivan and the slow-mo decapitations make it a bearable campaign.

    Multi player however is the winning factor for this game

    You can tell from the start that this was the part of the game the developers wanted you to play. straight from the get go you are able to have a wide array of weapons and customizable character appeal ranging from a ninja suit to a a full cardboard box armour with a cat helmet. which is highly amusing when your cutting down ur foes with a katana, or if you like me being the one getting killed by the katana. The game modes are different and fresh, for example one gamemode sees you throwing watermelons into a massive blender while stopping the other team throwing their watermelons. Another one sees you in a CQC with melee weapon only leaving for a lot of mess and carnage. For all these pros these prose they are some cons. I have found that snipers can bit quite overpowered in most maps and that can cause a problem for the balance needed in most multiplayer shooters . Not only this but I found the siege mode quite confusing. I cant spoil too much but you are thrown straight into the deep end and would adivse you to be a mercenary for the first few games in order to get too grips.

    Conclusion:

    Overall I am enjoying the experience. I cant say I recommend the single player, but the multi-player is a blast so if your looking for a game that will amuse you for hours on end and can withstand the not so brilliant graphics and the occasional frame rate drops this is that game.

    Its not a system seller but if you can get it for under 25£ you are getting a steal!!!    … Expand

    7/10 SHOCKED AND DISGUSTED at how low these commercialized reviewers scored this game. I've been a gamer since the colecovision days, before the NES. This would have to be the most inaccurate reviews I've seen, one monkey probably IGN or Gamespot said it's garabage, then the sheep followed. I'm sure the preview copies were the beta, my copy doesn't have all these graphic glitches shown on7/10 SHOCKED AND DISGUSTED at how low these commercialized reviewers scored this game. The graphics are good, the character models are brilliant, probably the best character models on the Wii U. The game play does feel like an outdated arcade game, but that's a good thing. The game reminds me of a better era in gaming, before video games tried to be blockbuster hollywood movies. The story is reasonable bad, but who cares if I wanted a good story I would pick up a book. The boss fights are challenging. The frame rate is good, the frame rate dips are rare and very short, heck it runs better than the Witcher 3 PS4. This game is worth the purchase, for a few reasons to see how much the reviewers suck, it'll probably go up in value and it's a blast. The bats do suck though.… Expand

    This game stands beside 50 Cent blood On The Sand s and hilariously engaging mass of a game. story takes itself serious and that is what makes it hilarious ,
    The gameplay is interesting that It's trying to combined shooting and melee combat With some success it's not completely god-awful but it's not good but I did have fun playing it .

    The greatest merit of this game is the combination of hack and slash mechanics with those of a third person shooter. It's not a bad game, but also not remarkable one.

    Un juego que sin ser gran cosa consigue una experiencia sólida y divertida, tiene multitud de errores gráficos y no consigue un framerate estable, texturas muy poco trabajadas y una historia que no es la gran cosa. Pero cumple, y cumple con creces consigue divertir, ofrecer situaciones variadas y una experiencia lineal con aire de cine de acción de serie B. Lo recomiendo a todo aquel queUn juego que sin ser gran cosa consigue una experiencia sólida y divertida, tiene multitud de errores gráficos y no consigue un framerate estable, texturas muy poco trabajadas y una historia que no es la gran cosa. Pero cumple, y cumple con creces consigue divertir, ofrecer situaciones variadas y una experiencia lineal con aire de cine de acción de serie B. Lo recomiendo a todo aquel que busque algo con lo que distraerse sin buscar la exigencia, no pude probar su online pero seguro que de haberlo probado mi nota hubiese sido mayor… Expand

    I’ll be honest, this game isn’t full on terrible as I thought. I think it’s serviceable, just not good. It’s basically Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance if you combined Gears of War and Call of Duty, and they don’t blend well. I thought the controls were fine, though shooting is practically broken when not in the first-person view, since it rarely hits. The story, while it wasn’t original, isI’ll be honest, this game isn’t full on terrible as I thought. I think it’s serviceable, just not good.     Some aspects of Devil's Third are top-notch, in both design and polish . . . though I wouldn't trust it to do my taxes. [Issue #19 – January/February 2016, p.71]

    If there's a game that fits perfectly as a kusoge (the term that Japanese gamers use for terrible games), Devil's Third is definitely one of a kind. Itagaki's experiment is a total failure in all of game's aspects: bad gameplay mechanics, terrible narrative and poor graphics make this title something to avoid.
