Not Yoshi's best adventure to date, but it does a sufficient job of being a kid friendly 2D platformer with an appealing visual style that lends itself well to crafting some interesting levels. Sadly, things can get a bit tiresome, and older gamers may find themselves rushing through to the end of stages in no time. Seek challenge elsewhere, because you won't find it with Yoshi's Crafted World. The quality is there, as expected of a Nintendo-developed title, but it is too simple for its own good.

Yoshi’s Crafted World is exactly what I needed, when I needed it. I could turn off my brain and just have a good time. Nintendo excels at that. While it can get repetitive after a while, it never wears out its welcome. I loved collecting everything in the game and the hours I spent with it were joy-infused. The entry price might be a bit steep, but the Nintendo quality never fails to deliver.

Yoshi is back with a pleasant and relaxing adventure. It tends to stay on the easy side, and co-op can be a frustrating endeavour, but for the most part Crafted World is a joy, and just plain fun.

Yoshi's Crafted World is a lovely but somewhat uneven experience. There is much to enjoy, especially the graphics and creativity that each level offers. Our only wish is that the game would be more challenging, and that the gameplay evolved during the adventure. But if you can ignore these short-comings, Yoshi's Crafted World is a great Nintendo style adventure.

A perfect plattformer for the youngest players, but without much of a challenge or depth for more experienced players.

The co-op is absolutely broken and made me want to just quit playing. I sincerely hope that Nintendo patches those issues because anyone who wants this game for its multiplayer is going to be incredibly disappointed.

A pleasant surprise. I was just expecting a solid little platformer, but I was floored by Yoshi’s Crafted World’s sophisticated imagery, abundant heart, and charmingly fun level design.

The easy difficulty and the amount of backtracking in each stage make it difficult to recommend Yoshi’s Crafted World to the average player, especially at full price.

Another highly competent Yoshi platformer that looks great and plays well, especially in co-op, but there’s a disappointing lack of innovation beyond the charming visuals.

Following the series trademark mix of platformer and exploration, Yoshi's Crafted World delivers a pleasing experience, thanks to its side levels, with plenty of items to find and collect. Unfortunately, the game tries too hard to increase its lifetime by making the player go through the same levels over and over again. With stronger efforts on the soundtrack and and a better emphasis on the technical part, Yoshi's Crafted World could easily have been one of the best episodes of the series.

That’s not to say normal levels aren’t good, they’re just rather bland. They’re safe, much like the game itself. Yoshi’s Crafted World is not going to win any awards, but it’s enjoyable nonetheless. Things are easy for far too long before ramping up near the end; I wish that challenge was present throughout more of the levels. If you’re after a cute time rather than a genre-defining one, this’ll work just fine.

Yoshi’s Crafted World doesn’t use its clever conceit as well as it should or weave a poignant story, but it’s still a solid and accessible Nintendo platformer.

Like a Pop-Up Book, Crafted World is creative and fun, but only paper-thin.

Yoshi’s Crafted World is a decent platformer that is fun to go through, despite its minor hiccups. How players can approach this game depends on either desiring to reach the end of it or collecting everything to completion. The game won’t raise the bar, but it will remind you that it is a harmless artsy platformer starring everyone’s favorite rideable green dinosaur.

This is yet another Yoshi game that doesn't come close to reaching Yoshi's Island greatness.

Yoshi's Crafted World finally became a game for children. The best way to enjoy it for an adult is by playing with a young child. The recipe works then, with its excess of cute things and some ideas that should please all those who like to pull stuff to reveal hidden things. Still, the gameplay and the general atmosphere of the title tend to make the set very slow, like the soundtrack made of a single piece recycled on the forty levels of the game.

It is not very surprising to see another Yoshi game that creative and cute, and though it is nice for a while, it all feels way too familiar and frankly, a bit boring.

It’s charming, it’s sweet, it’s peddling a message of kinship and harmony… but it does it all so dryly...Sorry, Yoshi – you’re a good boy, but you’ve got to learn some new tricks.

Gentle and generous, Good-Feel delivers its best game yet in this imaginative and breezy platformer. [Eurogamer Recommended]

It’s an imaginative game that’s effortlessly pleasing, perfectly suited to family play or as a train-journey stress-reliever. I’ve said it before, but it bears repeating: nobody does cute like Nintendo.

Yoshi’s Crafted World reminds me, in a way, of Sierra’s The Incredible Machine series. In those games, players needed to understand mechanics, size up the situation, piece together simple machines, and execute. By channeling Labo’s construction spirit into the long-standing conventions of a Yoshi game, Crafted World’s carved out a similar work-play functionality. I’m not always having fun, but I want to get it right. Yoshi’s counting on me.

Yoshi's Crafted World is a chill little platformer. So relaxing is this game that I heartily recommend it as Sekiro's ultimate companion piece.
  5. Mar 27, 2019
It’s painfully adorable. Platforming games like this are often built around challenges and inventive design, and while Crafted World has some of this, mostly, it’s just a really pleasant place to be.
  6. Mar 28, 2019
It’s a leisurely, relaxing adventure that is absolutely confident in its abilities – and for those happy to have such an experience, a very easy recommendation. It’s the best Yoshi game in years.

It shows a perfect combination of precious graphics and new interesting game mechanics that provide freshness and multiple varied situations. The soundtrack may be scarce at first, but it perfectly fuses with the gameplay so that you are not aware of the repetition of some themes. This game is the perfect opportunity to experience a relaxed trip through the crafted worlds with one of our favourite characters. Full Review »

Another great Yoshi's outing. Big, sprawling, and more about COLLECTING than platforming, which I love! It's like Pikmin marrying Mario!Another great Yoshi's outing. Big, sprawling, and more about COLLECTING than platforming, which I love! It's like Pikmin marrying Mario!

Those who say this game is easy have not gotten all the flowers. Which is the proper way to actually beat this game. Credits rolling does not = beating the game. Get all the flowers or miss out on how challenging this game can get. Some of the new levels the open up are A+ platform level in difficulty. Trying to clear those AND getting all the flowers, OMG!

And, I read some complaints about the bosses: the DOJO Puzzle Boss was fantastic. One of the best designs of a boss stage ever. It requires true brain power!

Collect all the costumes YES. However, I would suggest not using them much as they make the game easier (though Wooly World had something like this too).

Overall, a fantastic experience from beginning to end!

Yoshi's Crafted World is easily one of the best Yoshi games in recent years. I've always had a bias against the Yoshi series because most of his games are incredibly sub par (New Island, Touch and Go, Topsy Turvy, Story, etc). The graphics are great and the levels are super well designed. There could have been more innovation though, and the game is admittedly easy. It is all around a fun, but kinda forgettable adventure. Yoshi's Island remains unbeaten. Full Review »
