Jul 13, 2020I like Yes, Your Grace, but my enjoyment wasn’t unqualified. I felt the most affinity for the characters, and much less for the overall gameplay. Interacting with my citizens got monotonous at times, and long stretches where my family had no new interactions really took the wind out of my sails. A more compressed story with a shorter runtime would make me more inclined to explore alternate paths, or at least less inclined to “save scum” my way to good outcomes, but given the structure of the game I find it highly unlikely I go back to it.

Jul 8, 2020Yes, Your Grace is a short but absorbing game that strikes a sweet balance between the concerns of a kingdom and a family.
-
Jul 1, 2020An interesting combination of kingdom management and point-and-click adventuring that doesn't always form into a cohesive whole. Yes, Your Grace has a flavour all of its own, though, and you'll genuinely come to care for the royal family at its core.

Jun 29, 2020Yes, Your Grace isn't just your typical kingdom management simulation. The first game of the studio Brave At Night is a very story-driven experience with inspired pixel-art visuals. Alas, it turns pretty bland when it comes to convey the epic nature of the battlefield.

Jul 3, 2020There are plenty of titles out there with a strong moral conscience that try to communicate with players by making "difficult decisions" the core gameplay loop. This includes This War of Mine, Papers Please, Reigns, Not Tonight, Beholder, Ministry of Broadcast, and plenty of others besides. Yes, Your Grace is guilty of not adding enough to this philosophy of game design, and thus I suspect that it is destined to be one of the lesser-remembered examples of the "genre." With that being said, there's still a lot to appreciate about this one, and it's wrapped up in such a lovely package that, if nothing else, it makes for an excellent lazy Sunday afternoon experience.

Jun 29, 2020This game might be good but the switch port is unplayable due to frozen black screens every 30 minutes.
