5 days in, rating with 40h+ of base game experience as a Xenoblade fan with 170h+ of the past 2 main titles
    Mainly 2 points here
Playability: a ton of areas to explore, maps are huge Battle system: more close to xenoblade 2,but definitely did a well job at combining and improving with innovation with the battle system. Especially the chain attack, my favorite thing so far. Much more fun

Especially the chain attack, my favorite thing so far. Much more fun than the chain attack in the last 2 main titles. And the music is on the same level with battle torna. chain attack theme is insanely good
Still much room to improve but overall definitely an incredible game

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. First of all, let's talk about the disadvantages for those who haven't played the first two generations:
    1. Although the screen has improved compared to the second generation, the handheld mode is still blurry.
    2. The materials of some side quests do not have navigation like the first generation, but there will be quest signs when they are close.
    3. Simplified translation is slightly problematic (traditional Chinese can be used).
Let's talk about some series features:
    1. The combat system is an automatic attack and cannot be manually attacked.
    2. The blow may not be that great (it's a jrpg after all).
    3. The proportion of the plot and the battle is the same, and the CG of the plot is relatively long (the series traditionally can be watched as a fan drama), which may not be very friendly to those who do not like to watch the plot.
Let's talk about the good changes compared to the previous two generations:
    1. Teaching system: The teaching system this time is very detailed, with small knowledge and training mode, which is very friendly to novices.
    2. The navigation and guidance function is perfect, and you can choose to open it, which is very friendly to those who are easy to get lost.
Let me talk about some of my own opinions (this is all subjective, everyone's feelings are different):
    1. The theme of this work is obviously heavier than the previous two works. I think the plot is pretty good (you should cry or you have to cry) There are also some new plots in the second week. However, this plot still depends on the person. You have to play it before you know it. Everyone's feelings are different. (Some people think that some plots are very strange, you can try empathy)
    2. I think the music in this work is also great. There are 140 pieces. I feel that each piece is in its right place. Maybe I think the three generations are better overall. But the first and second generation also have a lot of good music.
For Xenophobia, Mono has also made a lot of changes, in the plot, in the game and so on. There will definitely be old players who will not like it, but I think, how will you know if you don't try it. And this is not the end.
I still hope that those who are interested can try this game. After all, there are many things that you can only know if you like it if you try it yourself. Even if I think it's great, maybe you're not playing that well. But still have to try to know.

The story is an emotional rollercoaster and for the first time I was invested in all of the main cast. The world of Aionios is vast and it’s easy to simply get caught up in it for hours exploring, collecting and completing quests. The Heroes were the perfect solution for replacing Blades and recruiting and learning their movesets is addicting! I would call the combat “masterful”. There’s enough complexity yet it doesn’t become convoluted and the game does an excellent job explaining the combat to you with there even being drills for you to practice if you ever want to revisit certain mechanics. Simply put: If you enjoy the Xenoblade series this is a must buy. Expand

Having played this game for around 80 hours, this is the best Xenoblade game on the system, followed by the other 2, who were good games in their own right. However, Xenoblade 3 tops it with so much more refinement, story, gameplay, and world.

    Pros:

    - World is absolutely huge, and I mean huge, the first big region you encounter in this game can be its own open world game in its own right, for reference, combine all the regions in Pokemon Legends Arceus, and it still won't be half as big as this one singular region of multiple regions in this game!

    - Story is of a darker tone and is incredible writing, many people disliked the tone in some scenes of two, there is none of that in this game, but there are still many lighthearted moments where it still feels natural to the setting of the game and characters.

    - Main characters are great and all have their big part to play in the story, well developed.

    - Voice directing is much better, the whole English cast did a great job in the game, and for a JRPG, the English dub is one of the better dubs for this genre. Amiee Ffion Edwards (Mio) does a remarkable job.

    - Combat is the best in the series, easier to get into compared to 2, and there is a lot of customization and playstyles to suit your need, you will notice that you will end up playing with all the characters throughout the game instead of one due to the mechanics and class learning.

    - The horrid fetch quests are mostly now tied to a particular collectpedia card feature which is a nice QoL change

    Cons

    - Default sound settings need to be adjusted as the music can be too loud for when the characters talk which means you are forced to read the subtitles, this is a reoccurring trait with Xeno games.

In- Early game it is quite easy to become over-leveled if you are out exploring and doing some quests, but this changes the later you get into the game.

This is great for vets but can be overwhelming for newcomers. There are hand holding tutorials for everything and while in the end you will need them to understand it all, it is just a little frustrating at times when you just want to get moving but you are forced to slog through menus to learn something new.

Rest assured the game does its best not to fall in some of the pitfalls of xenoblade 2's systems (Not that I thought anything was wrong with it personally). Amazingly enough, at first shoving 6 diverse characters on you you would think you would fine at least one or more of them annoying or disappointing. After 7 hours I was able to find at least one thing to like about each and every one of them and can't wait for full backstories. The writing is really amazing, and it really needed to be because it can be particularly difficult to believe what these colonies do day in and day out for their 10 year life spans.

Technically, we aren't seeing any BETTER visuals then anything we saw in xenoblade 2 per say, but rather the little things everywhere. Performance is pretty rock solid now, no sudden frame drops from busy areas. Load times are based on the complexity of the area so out in the world the load times are quite fast. I also have yet to see any of the texture load in bugs that plagues XB2 when you loaded into cities and cutscenes. I also think facial animations have been improved noticeably. On the audio front, I so far feel this is the series best sound track to date.

If you are any kind of a fan of JRPGs, this is a must have just as Xenoblade 2 is.

Once again, a Nintendo exclusive gets piles of undeserved 10/10 reviews, most of them from people who have not even played the game. Ignore them.

On PS4/X1/Switch era, many JRPG franchises have grown up and evolved into something more modern, and better. FF, Tales and Atelier, for example. In Xenoblade 3, there is no evolution. Its just barren, hastily made copy of the same old, developed purely for quick cash, and not for the love of the game, or the setting. As a result, it is just one of those mediocre, dated JRPGs that are best left alone.

Great world, characters, story, and music. It takes the Xenoblade series up a notch. The combat is quite more complicated than previous Xenoblade games, but the tutorial is right there at the start to help the player understand new mechanics quite easily. My only complain would be the UI being less user-friendly compared to Xenoblade 2. I can't wait to see the next iteration :)

Once you get into the meat of the game, it gets to a point where I just bought the dlc to reward Monolithsoft for a job well done. If you have the time to play a long RPG this is a must buy. It has frame drops when a lot is happening on screen, but it generally plays at it's consistent 30 FPS. Combat is very streamlined compared to earlier entries. The tutorials do a good job introducing new mechanics to the game. It introduces them slowly as to not overwhelm the players. The story is a tad dull compared to 1 and the last half of 2, but its fine. Do not take review bomber's opinions seriously. This game is worth it if love jrpgs with very fun battle mechanics, fun characters, and excellent world building.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is a clear improvement over its predecessors in almost every way. It streamlines so much and avoids past pitfalls, though there’s still work to be done in terms of balancing the difficulty. There’s a grounded story here with a solid cast of characters, and the basic plot is much easier to digest. The world design exceeds past efforts with ease, and the implementation of Hero Quests is a game changer. While the devs have done an admirable job making the battle system easier to grasp, it feels like the series has fully explored and exhausted these core combat mechanics, signaling it’s time for the next game to change things up. As a whole, it stands as a phenomenal RPG with a one-of-a-kind sense of exploration you can’t find anywhere else.
