Didn't get very far in this game as it was too frustrating.

    Pros:
    - Solid visuals
    - Had a very interesting NES feel

    Cons:
    - Even though I played lots of NES games I was easily frustrated with what to do here
    - This probably would have been good 15 years ago

What an awful game. Mediocre controls, it's annoying that I have to go back to the beginning to switch characters, idiotic difficulty spikes. Garbage.

graphic looks good. but always I should find way to go further. really annoying spend my time to find way. play again again same places. there is no hint. this critics too high. I know much better games than this. but their critics lower than this game. this real play times is very short.

This game is absolutely stunning. However, the gameplay felt repetitive after a while. The Switch has a phenomenal selection of amazing 2d platforms, and this one just feels bland in comparison. The art direction does give this game it's own unique flair, but ultimately the gameplay was sub-par.

This may be the most beautiful hand-drawn 2D game I've ever played, and I'd frequently stop while playing just to marvel at the mastery of how each scene was reworked. [Issue #28 – July/August 2017, p. 20]

After you get used to some crudeness related to the fact that the original is 28 years old, you’ll notice that is hasn’t aged that much. What’s more, visuals were revamped so skillfully that The Dragon’s Trap is one of the prettiest games released this year. [06/2017, p.54]

Wonder Boy is full of wistful retro charm, and an absolutely essential purchase on the Nintendo Switch eShop.
