    En Switch la jugabilidad es excelente, rara vez hay caídas de frames y la posibilidad de jugar "Wizard of Legend" en modo portátil hacen que uno pueda engancharse más rápido con el juego. Si eres fan del género, es todo un recomendado.    … Expand

    Games great. Gameplays fun and challenging. BUT I bought this game based on this sites review page, which states it has 2 player online. After purchasing the game I found this to be an out right lie. While it does offer a 2 player local play, thats hardly the same thing... Td’lr Games great, but metacritic has to update their info about the games included contents.    Good and bad.

    Really great rogue-like fast and skilled as expected with a lot of diverse upgrades and spells.

    This game is just straight up fun! You get to feel like a bad@ss wizard running around beating things up with fun melee spells. The levels don't get boring and there's so many different collectibles that you really do get a lot out of the game.

    This is rogue-like at its finest. Twitchy action with spells that actually make you feel like a powerful mage. While challenging, it only seeks to make you perform better. Every death is a learning experience , enforcing your choices of a staggering set of abilities and powerups while rewarding your success in a unique way that pushes you to improve and refine.

    Frankly, it's astonishing this game has such high regard. I rarely take the time to review games, but it seems WoL fans need to desperately wake up.

    Cons: It's extremely challenging... (Okay let me finish--) It's not challenging in the way that it's something you'll eventually master and have FUN mastering, but rather it in the way that you'll take damage for literally no reason. The    Frankly, it's astonishing this game has such high regard. I rarely take the time to review games, but it seems WoL fans need to desperately wake up.

    Cons: It's extremely challenging... (Okay let me finish--) It's not challenging in the way that it's something you'll eventually master and have FUN mastering, but rather it in the way that you'll take damage for literally no reason. The hit-box for the player seems completely arbitrary, and the rooms are often cramped with traps, pits, and more enemies than suit the capacity. Some of the bosses' attacks are so absolutely unavoidable that I can't even tell if the devs have played their own game. I've yet to stumble upon one noticeable synergy between relics, and most of the relics seem to fall flat in actually aiding the player. The only "balance" I can think of is how enemies can be pushed into pits, but that feels exploitative! If you have only close-range arcana, you WILL NOT escape being hit.

    The gameplay is horribly programmed, but what about the rest of the game? Well, I've beaten it twice so far, and can say I haven't felt the slightest bit rewarded. (spoiler) Really? You give me a relic that makes the game harder? As if it really needs that? (/spoiler) The devs handled the rewards in the worst way possible; when you beat a boss, you will receive a modicum of health, but a MILLION chaos gems, allowing you to unlock everything in the game almost instantly. I don't get any sense of accomplishment, none at all. Very rarely, the game will drop free relics or arcana, but half of the relic drops are cursed (which is great because cursed relics are almost always useless). Sometimes, the game will even be so gracious as to give you either a chest brimming with yet more chaos gems or a chest that requires arcana that you will 90% of the time NOT HAVE.

    Finally, if you couldn't have guessed from other reviews, there isn't much to this game. The arcana are bountiful and actually really FUN and CREATIVE (basically the only pros, btw), but the levels, rooms, and enemies are hugely limited, making this feel like more of a 5 dollar game from the app store. I truly hope they improve the game, but until then, no matter how much I play it, I'm never going to feel like I've got my 15 dollar's worth.    … Expand

    The game is really fun, the rogue-like gameplay is actually very exciting and feels fairly polished. The only problem I have is that they don't explain enough about the game like how shops and currency work or how enhancing spells work or the difference between a signature and normal arcana in the game for newcomers.     this is basically enter the gungeon, beat em up edition (instead of being a twin stick shooter) great little game, totally worth the money, nice pixel art, awesome music, one of the best indies on any platform if you like arcade style skills/reactions based gameplay, seems very hard at first but gets easier as you get used to the different magic attacks you acquire & then practice with.

    Wizard of Legend is a fast-paced, action-packed roguelike dungeon crawler with a unique spellcasting system, then battle their way through a series of procedurally generated dungeons. The game is challenging but rewarding, and the sense of progression as you unlock new spells and artifacts is incredibly satisfying.

    Nice graphics, beautiful animations, great spell design, fast paced fluid combat, amazing soundtrack and clicky gameplay make this title one of the best roguelikes currently on the Nintendo Switch. The only thing missing is some kind of online functionality and maybe some QOL changes to the hub. Overall I’d rate this game just the same as other popular roguelikes like Enter the Gungeon orNice graphics, beautiful animations, great spell design, fast paced fluid combat, amazing soundtrack and clicky gameplay make this title one of the best roguelikes currently on the Nintendo Switch. The only thing missing is some kind of online functionality and maybe some QOL changes to the hub.     This is one of the best rogue-like rpgs I've ever played. It is up there with binding of isaac for me. The spells are beautiful and combined with all the items, there are tons of possibilities. Gameplay is fluid and fun. The game is very difficult, but also rewarding.

    When first jumping into the chaos trials, be prepared to get obliterated time and time again. As Wizard of Legend is a rogue-like, keeping with the tropes of the genre it is    Beginning in a museum touring the wizarding greats of the past, those who undertook the chaos trials, you are magically sucked into another world. Where you are a wizard competing to become a wizard of legend.
    When first jumping into the chaos trials, be prepared to get obliterated time and time again. As Wizard of Legend is a rogue-like, keeping with the tropes of the genre it is incredibly difficult. Furthermore, the learning curve is especially steep. The tutorial section of the game, lightly walks you through your basic moves. A dash, basic attack, normal spells, and a heavy spell that you can access in battle once it has charged. However, using your spells on practice dummies is nothing like casting them in the throes of battle and the systems take quite some time to get a solid hang of.
    Each level of the chaos trail is a different dungeon that you must crawl through defeating foes and leveling up. Separating them into elemental groups of three, fire, ice, and earth; with each element having two levels to complete before that element’s boss.
    The dungeons are procedurally generated, so each round you aren’t sure what will be lurking around the next corner. Either a horde of deadly enemies just waiting to drain your health, a piñata challenge that could possibly reward you with a brand-new arcana spell, or a cage match where you accidentally dash your way into a fire pit.
    Before jumping into each new play through, you choose which spells you will equip, along with a relic that will give you a unique ability. As the Wizard of Legend as a TON of spells and relics, playing through to try and find the perfect combination that works with your play style is tons of fun. Playing through each round earns you gems which you can use to buy new spells and relics, permanently. So that they can be chosen as one of your four starting aracana in the beginning of each round.
    Arcana spells can vary from shooting cascading obsidian arrows, plowing through the enemies with a huge sword of fire, or using wind to launch your enemy into the air then smash them into the ground. From ranged weapons, to close quarters combat, and traps that you can set, all of the spells given to choose from can cater to the way that you prefer to play. Personally, I have been beginning with a spell that adds fire to my dash, a lighting spear that stuns my enemies, and diablo style chakram snowflakes that spiral around me causing damage as they do.
    No matter the spells you choose they have to work well with your basic attacks as this will allow you to chain attacks together, which is how you deal large amounts of damage in Wizard of Legend. Not truly understanding this until my first boss fight, if you rely only on your spells than you will get your burnt butt handed to you.
    However, if you wait for that right moment for your opponent to drop their guard, stun them from afar, fire dash through them, flurry basic attacks, spear them and flurry them again you’ll see the end goal coming a bit closer.

    As you play through you find or buy new spells that are unique to whatever you come across in that run, which greatly increase your chances of success. Starting with four of your possible six spells, gives you some wiggle room to test new attacks and wean out the spells that you don’t find as useful.
    The same for relics, as you only begin with one, you acquire more along your journey which changes your odds for better or for worse. Some relics can simply increase you lightning damage, while other more complex relics will increase all damage dealt but lower your defense greatly, or once of my particular favorites will give you tiny increases in health with almost every gem that you find.
    Playing handheld most of my playtime, I have experienced a decent amount of frame rate issues although they haven’t hindered my gameplay experience.
    Wizard of Legend is a very good roguelike with enough spells and relics to keep you mixing and matching until you find that perfect combination. The overall feel of the game plays very well and is worth the steep learning curve to get into your groove and bite into the real meat of the game. When dungeon crawling, even if you defeat the boss of the level first thing, you will still want to search the rest of the dungeon for possible upgrades to make you stronger overall. Which is risky, because you can die so easily, but that’s the gamble that you take.
    While I like this game a lot, it is a difficult roguelike and if that does not sound appealing to you than I would give this one a pass
    However if you are like me and can stand dying over and over until not only your character levels up, but you do as the player. Then strap on your wizarding cloak and getting ready for some magic.

    The game is really nice as an 8-Bit game, worth a try on it. You could choose 4 spells from large pools to fight against hostile, the combination of relics and spells are kind of challenging and have serious fun. However, the game is quite easy after 15+ try and I basically finished the game with 50 hours (unlock all spells, relics & gems to 999).

All skills and item design requires a lot of skill and reflex to utilize, but game is quite user unfriendly, making it hard to enjoy the difficulty. For example, the retro pixel art style and camera angle makes it very hard to tell if an attack will hit or not, thus making it hard to dodge or hit. Merchants neverThis game has protentials.     Unfortunately, the music is a resounding "meh," the bosses are somewhat uninspired, the story doesn't exist (but sorta wants to), the shop is poorly fleshed-out, the game is awfully short without replaying it, the    Super addicting and fun game with tons and tons of spells and combinations to make.     The game just lacks "soul." Just look at the title. "Wizard of Legend?" Hoo boy, exciting. I feel like another developer could take a similar concept very far. A more well-rounded alternative could be as great an indie as Shovel Knight, Celeste, and Hollow Knight if properly made.

    Overall, it's a very fun game, it simply lacks anything other than the concept itself. Wizard of Legend isn't memorable (apart from the mechanic of the spell choice). It's pretty fun, thought, so I give it a pretty fair rating.    … Expand

    Honestly, this game is like, a masterpiece of the rogue like genre, not a 10/10, but it's definitely one of the best rogue like experiences I've ever had. I get why some people don't love this game, it's not for everyone, but if you're looking for a fast paced challenging rogue like with high variety of spells and items, with huge room for improvement after every playthrough, this isHonestly, this game is like, a masterpiece of the rogue like genre, not a 10/10, but it's definitely one of the best rogue like experiences I've ever had. I get why some people don't love this game, it's not for everyone, but if you're looking for a fast paced challenging rogue like with high variety of spells and items, with huge room for improvement after every playthrough, this is definitely the game for you, if you don't have the time to sink 40+ hours into a really fun game, because you want to experience other types of games, maybe the game is not for you.     Haven’t played many roguelikes yet but this one has definitely gotten me interested, super fun and am likely gonna beat again with friends

    Good game but it is just way too hard. Any initial joy of playing this game has now been replaced by dismay at the fact that I will never get any further than where I currently am.

    I have been slaving away for at least 10 hours at this thing so I figure I've given it a good shot. I'm now finally able to beat the first 2 stages and get to the major boss fight against a wizard. I have    Good game but it is just way too hard. Any initial joy of playing this game has now been replaced by dismay at the fact that I will never get any further than where I currently am.

    I have been slaving away for at least 10 hours at this thing so I figure I've given it a good shot. I'm now finally able to beat the first 2 stages and get to the major boss fight against a wizard. I have NEVER come close to beating a single wizard-level boss (they randomize - I've lost to them all). This game is just too difficult. At this point, it's sucking the joy out of playing and it's just not fun anymore.

    I'm also scared that - even if I beat the first boss - I'll immediately die shortly after (because health is so SO scarce in the game) and it won't save my progress, which will totally crush my spirit.    … Expand

    I've been searching for a couch coop dungeon crawler for some time and I have bought anything worth mentioning and the only thing that comes close to this title is hades. Hades is a piece of art in its own right but it is confined to single player only. This game feels much like Hades but it has two player mode and a versus mode. So it's kind of like Hades and smash Brothers mixed together

    Wizard of Legend is a welcome addition to the library of procedurally generated roguelikes, offering players a challenging arena-based dungeon crawler with unforgiving combat and a vast number of abilities to choose from. Occasional performance niggles can ruin the experience, but they are few and far between.

    Wizard of Legend is one of those rare titles where it's easy to come back to it at any time. The game, for having so few bosses and levels, never begins to feel dull or repetitive. There's tons of variety in equipment and spell loadouts, and the dungeon changes enough each time that it never really starts to feel stale. It would be nice if there was a little more variety in the stages offered, but there are enough unique combinations that each adventure is always fresh and exciting.
