    Though I love the concept and presentation of Wing of Darkness, it falls a little short of being an instant indie classic like Sumire was. Wing of Darkness has the right attitude when it comes to depicting the impact of war. It has impeccable presentation and art direction. The gameplay systems are enjoyable and, for the most part, well-executed. Almost everything about Wing of Darkness is spot-on, but it just falls short of making us care enough that the poignant themes and evocative narrative can really hit home. Perhaps this developer will make enough revenue from this to take a second spin at it, and I would play that in a heartbeat, because I am totally certain that the limitations of Wing of Darkness has nothing to do with the developer's talent, ideas, and ambition.

    Pleasantly surprised. It’s a frenetic Mech shooter which alternates between action and visual novel, fully voice acted. Very well done andPleasantly surprised.     The game is extremely short. It took me about 2 hours to complete, and half of that time I was watching cutscenes. They resembles powerpointThe game is extremely short.     The only strong point is voice acting, just because I did not expect it to be there. As for the rest... well, graphics are ok-ish, with some 2d explosion sprites straight from the 90s. Music is good.
    Combat made me feel bored. Most of the time, I just had to hold 1 button to shoot and click the 2nd one to lock on enemies.
    All in all, they tried to make the game fun. Different types of missions, weapons, events, plot twists. They failed. The only thing that could saved the game was the plot, but it did not. Mediocrity it is.    … Expand

The main characters are one dimensional and badly scripted. The graphics and sound are ok but the game is plagued with bugs and various issues. You can probably complete it in under 3 hours but doubt you would get that far. I really wanted to like this but poor game design, character choices and badly executed script make this one for the bargain bin, if that even.… Expand
