This game didn't need to be a roguelike, and the quirks of its structure cast a bit of a pall over the entire product. There's an abundance of content here, with multiple campaigns per faction and plenty of scope for tactics... but enough of it falls into the category of "luck of the draw" that it's somewhat outrageous just how much essentially unchanged content it makes you play through over and over again when you fail — or even when you succeed. Warhammer fans will likely enjoy the lore drip-feed and typically portentous writing, but everyone else should probably steer clear of Age of Sigmar: Storm Ground. An impressive game for sure, but not in the way that counts most.

Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Storm Ground is a disappointingly mediocre tactical game. The bits of quality game design and pretty graphics that make up the core of it are overwhelmingly obscured by a frustrating single-player and multiplayer grind, then layered over by a thick paste of bugs, inconsistent rules, and an overall lack of content. Underwhelming to say the least.

I'm sorry but I can't believe that the GUI has such a lack of polish. On the main selection screen where you assign abilities... It doesn't work properly. Items aren't sorted and I'd a card is used it doesn't say by who. It has some lag. And honestly I don't know why is roguelike the peace is so slow to be roguelike. It is frustrating. A campaign mode straight forward would have been much more nice.. I don't recommend.

as with any other Warhammer title, i was looking forward to it ... as with any other Warhammer title i was fooled.

On the switch you have extreme drops in performance .. the control is imprecise and without a touchscreen you would be lost in the menu ...

the StormEternal story is brutally difficult at the beginning and took me a good 8 hours ...

the other two weren't even halfway through ...

in short ... it takes longer to write the review than to play the game ...
is there anything else coming? that's it? except for a "play the story and unlock other items .." does not come there. i've seen all... i think... well idk...

there is no choice of difficulty .. at least I haven't found it... there is no endgame... nothing...

that the graphic is not in focus is ok ... even if it had been in 16 bit, it didn't bother ...

But it missed the goal so hard... zoomed in, you get eye cancer ... and scrolling out you know how the ISS astronauts must feel ... because the lower UI is sooo big, you can't see your units.

no help ... no reading ... no story ... nothing ...

this game (regardless of the platform) shows once again that GW is throwing another title in the sand ...

We want a total warhammer ...
We want a Down of War 1 or 2 ...
We want a remake of spacemarines ....
    or a Warhammer online ...

    and get:
Lost crusade ... Chaos bane .. odyssey ... Eternal crusade ... DOW3 ... and now storm ground ..

    Wait for the sale ... $ 5 ... it's not worth the 30-40..

Unfortunately, a poor main character, shoddy writing and lackluster story make this another victim for the bargain bin. In fact, I would not purchase it at a discount. I did enjoy the turn based battles though but not enough to continue playing. Plenty of better Warhammer games out there. Full Review »
