Mar 13, 2017A simply beautiful example of minimalistic elegance and functionality, refined to a near perfect degree.
-
Mar 15, 2017VOEZ is a rhythm action game, but unlike the more well-known titles like Project Diva and Guitar Hero, you don’t push buttons in time to the notes. The game’s interface is a series of lines, one horizontal and several vertical, note markers flow down from the top of the screen to the bottom where you perform the required action to ‘play’ the note. Movements required include genre stalwarts such as tap and hold, but will be regularly interspersed with times you’ll need to swipe, and others where you’ll need to slide as the path changes. It doesn’t sound very special but it’s all down to how it’s presented.

Mar 13, 2017As music rhythm games go, VOEZ is one of the best I’ve ever played, up there with the likes of Parappa The Rapper, Hatsune Miku Project DIVA X and Gitaroo Man.
-
Mar 16, 2017Between bouts of Zelda, Voez has become a welcome musical break from Hyrule. The music charts in the game are very well designed leading to frantic, musical fun. Voez is a wonderful option for those desiring some rhythm action on the Switch.
-
Mar 6, 2017In Switch’s launch lineup, this is the biggest surprise. A fascinating rhythm game that takes advantage of the touchscreen, sports a wide ranged soundtrack of almost 120 songs and an interesting art design.
-
Mar 3, 2017Voez is a diamond in the rough, at least as far as the Nintendo Switch eShop is concerned. The system's launch went from zero (or just Zelda) to hero in seconds flat, and as long as you're okay with a lack of a TV mode, Voez is a worthy pickup.
-
Mar 15, 2017Its beautiful minimalistic design, more than 100 playable songs and an interesting story mode make VOEZ a great music game. Nevertheless, the Switch version isn´t playable on TV or tabletop modes, which makes no difference compared to iOS or Android release.

May 26, 2017VOEZ plays wonderfully on Nintendo Switch, and offers a premium package where the mobile version required you to buy many songs separately. That might work for you though, if you wanted to keep the cost of entry low. The only slight disappointment with this version, is that you can't play it in docked mode. Sure, that would have been difficult to do given that it's a touch-based game, but it would have been nice to have had a version running that used the right Joycon as a Wiimote. It's not the end of the day though, and if you're a fan of rhythm action games VOEZ is one well worth checking out for its beauty, innovation, and wealth of content for that low price.
-
Apr 6, 2017It’s a fantastic rhythm game and hopefully a sign that many more amazing titles will follow.
-
Mar 27, 2017A surprisingly strong contender in the Nintendo Switch launch library, VOEZ is well worth its modest asking price for rhythm fans who need to scratch that IIDX itch.
-
Mar 20, 2017One of those unexpected surprises among the few first Nintendo Switch games. It may not be for everyone, but if you enjoy rhythm games, you'll enjoy this one.
-
Mar 19, 2017VOEZ is an outstanding musical title, but the way the difficulty progresses as the story does can be frustrating for many players. Still, for its price, it's a good choice if you like the genre.
-
Mar 8, 2017No matter what it says about the potential usage for the Switch’s touchscreen this is a beautifully presented and enjoyably novel rhythm action game.
-
Mar 6, 2017VOEZ is a beautiful rhythm game with a generous supply of songs and gorgeous artwork that makes you want to keep going back for more. The rhythm gameplay feels accurate and fits the songs nicely for the most part, particularly in harder difficulties, with a nicely designed learning curve to allow players to get into the swing of things.
-
Apr 27, 2017Voez is a "no bells or whistles" style rhythm game with a hell of a soundtrack and some very unique execution. As the first portable mode only title on the Switch it might have you apprehensive, but you shouldn't be too wary; it's a solid title from a studio that knows what they're doing in the genre.
-
Mar 27, 2017Packed with over 100 jpop/vocaloid songs, well implemented touch controls and colourful and beautiful illustrations, VOEZ will delight fans of the mentioned music genres, but lacks more music variety and the difficulty can be quite unfair at times.
