I'm a project DIVA fan and I thought this game was lame and lazy, but I was HORRIBLY wrong. It's style, music, gameplay, they are just perfect. There are over 100 songs! I just love this game and I recommend it to everyone who loves music

A beautiful and excellent game, a great atmosphere and who would say that this console with so little time of departure would have games of tantisima quality a few days after its launch without doubt a great indie and exclusive that you can not miss.

    Very good

Fantastic rhythm game and had spent countless hours on getting perfect in every level. The selection of songs are a great variety but needs more songs in certain levels. The game needs a high score chart for the public to see. Since the game is world widely available, why not compare your skills with others and aim to be the top player of the game world wide.

The switch itself is decently size for the game to playable but sometimes I feel a bit cramped. Overall the familiar game mechanics are great like the mobile version.

Only the minor flaws that made me to rate this game a 9/10.

A fantastic Rhythm game, one of the best on offer for the Switch. As of this review, I believe there are about 160 songs in the game, with 3 difficulty levels (so, around 480 total charts to play), which is an insane amount of content for $20 (or perhaps $35 if you’re Canadian, which is still a deal). As of this review, I believe there are about 160 songs in the game, with 3 difficulty levels (so, around 480 total charts to play), which is an insane amount of content for $20 (or perhaps $35 if you’re Canadian, which is still a deal). The songs themselves can range from generic to downright amazing, and thankfully most of the songs fall under the latter. If I did have to complain, there is a bit of an oversaturation of electronica, but otherwise the soundtrack is solid.

Gameplay is what you would expect from a Rhythm game: notes fall down a column, you tap/hold/slide them to the beat, and continue until the end of the song. Depending on how well you do, you can get a letter ranking, and further ranks are given for getting a full combo or all perfect notes. It is very addicting, and offers a decent challenge too. Easy difficulties will allow newcomers to the genre to have fun, while veterans can try their hand at the harder difficulties (which can be very, very, very, very brutal).

There is a story in this game portrayed through diary entries. To unlock these, you must meet certain conditions in the main game (ex. clear 10 songs on hard with an A rank). The story itself is a typical slice of life affair; it’s nothing too important or noteworthy, but it’s there for people who might get a kick out of it.

This is a Switch game that I absolutely recommend to anyone that is a fan of the genre. Out of the over 200 game on the Nintendo eShop, this is not one to be missed.

Bad touch either I love that there’s a story not enough rhythm games do that, and Voez being put on the switch was an amazing choice by Ryark and square enix. The switch handles this game amazingly and feels like a definitive version of the tablet version in every way including controls and graphics, it has every song unlocked from the beginning unlike the tablet version, Not to mention the game only costs 20 bucks which is less than it would cost to buy them all on tablet anyway. All in all I love this game and I even deleted the tablet version because it just felt so much better on the switch my only complaint is the same complaint with voez in general and not the port, which is I wish you could use keys to unlock more animation cut scenes or unlock them through diary entries since the first one was so beautiful and I would have LOVED more of that but was sadly disappointed as I went through the diary. But all in all, amazing game and I hope they don’t stop adding songs and maybe some diary entries since I’m unaware if they add any or not. Expand

VOEZ is a game I play very often, as I am a huge fan of rhythm games. Some of the best I've played are osu!, Cytus/Cytus II, Rhythm Heaven and a few others. I'll start with the art. The art very vibrant and amazing to look at. The anime vibes from the art sure suits the music in the game. Speaking of music, the selection given to you is different for each song. Some of my favorites include Freedom Dive - XI, Owari to Hajimori no Oto - 梅干茶漬け, PUPA - Morimori Atsushi and many more. There are three difficulty levels to choose from for each song. Easy, Hard and Special. Easy is best for beginners, as it doesn't require fast tapping skills or lots of rhythm game experience. Hard is best for people who have had a bit of experience with VOEZ or osu!Mania but aren't quite comfortable with Special. Special is for the pros of the game, as fast tapping is needed. Probably the hardest song in my books would be either PUPA or Freedom Dive. There may be harder songs but they are the ones I find the hardest. Finally, the gameplay. These diamonds that show the beats you have to replicate slide down to the bottom of the screen. You may need to tap it, slide left or right, hold it or slide to the next beat. You get more points the more accurate you are. The more points you get, the higher your rank on that song will be. There are 4 ranks. C, B, A and S. Overall, VOEZ is an amazing rhythm game and replicates what the iOS and Android versions did right and improved on those versions by having every song available at the start and by removing micro-transactions. The only issue about this version is that it isn't updated as much as the mobile versions. I give VOEZ a 9/10. Expand

VOEZ, as a standalone game, demonstrates a very modern take on the Japanese-born genre. Around 30 songs have been added through software patches, and this was just what I needed in order to 100% the story. As usual with rhythm games, people that aren't good at rhythm will struggle with VOEZ because story progression is tied to performance.

One of the best rhythm games on mobile and you get the whole package at a much lower price.
My only problem is that there is no online feature in the switch version. No leaderboard and likely no regular updates.

The songs are beautiful, game play is smooth and for the completionist it will take a lot of time to receive the highest ranking on every song with every difficulty. The price of the game is a little expensive, however if you compare it to the price of the mobile version buying separate songs, Switch players are saving lots of money. Overall a phenomenal game and a must have for any rhythm game fan.

This is a great game to pop in and play whenever you're in the mood. Has some really sweet songs, but as everyone likes different genres - others may find the tracks to be boring. Lacking in updates, haven't had anything added onto the game in quite a while.

This is definitively the best rhythm game outside of Japanese arcades that you can buy. It has some problems, first being a lack of a progression system (which fans of this genre should be used to anyways) and the swipe touch controls on the Switch seem finicky at times, but it hasn't stopped me from putting in over 2400 hours on this amazing game. I picked this up before my 12 hour flight to Japan, assuming I would only play it for a few minutes before moving on to something else, but I ended up playing the entire trip there and back and every single day since then. Every few months they add new music for free to keep things feeling fresh. The difficulty ranges from the absolutely boring, toddler level, all the way to the completely impossible to all but the most talented of players and everything in between. The song selection is wonderful, the colors are great, the controls feel great, and everything about this game is just fantastic. The only real problem I have with it is that it has made all other rhythm games feel so vastly inferior that I don't think I could ever play anything else. Expand

It's a good rhythm game for switch. I played it without joy-cons in the touch screen mode. But I'm an average player, so I got stuck on a 'quest" 27/76 and probably won't be able to finish the story. So if you aren't great at rhythm games and you want to read the story it's probably not for you. I bought mine during a sale for $10 and it's worth it. Это орошая ритм игра для свитча. VOEZ plays wonderfully on Nintendo Switch, and offers a premium package where the mobile version required you to buy many songs separately. That might work for you though, if you wanted to keep the cost of entry low. The only slight disappointment with this version, is that you can't play it in docked mode. Sure, that would have been difficult to do given that it's a touch-based game, but it would have been nice to have had a version running that used the right Joycon as a Wiimote. It's not the end of the day though, and if you're a fan of rhythm action games VOEZ is one well worth checking out for its beauty, innovation, and wealth of content for that low price.

Voez is a "no bells or whistles" style rhythm game with a hell of a soundtrack and some very unique execution. As the first portable mode only title on the Switch it might have you apprehensive, but you shouldn't be too wary; it's a solid title from a studio that knows what they're doing in the genre.
