Oct 31, 2019it looks and plays great on the switch. having played the ps4 version, not much is missed here.
-
Oct 31, 2019I went through this game twice upon its initial release on pc and absolutely loved it ! Saber interactive have worked miracles porting this to the switch , there are of course visual cut backs but the game retains its visual identity and is an absolute gem .

Sep 11, 2020Poor framerate and controller lag still haunt this game since release. It doesn’t bode well that it’s version 0.4 and we haven’t gotten one update since that day one patch. Game seems like it could be fun but I highly recommend pc, ps4, or Xbox for a more fluid experience. Seems this was a quick release for cash and zero support. It is not getting any better I’m sure.

Nov 1, 2019Fix the combat and you've got a very good game here. Otherwise, Vampyr is a tedious slog through some amazing environments, coupled with poorly realized button-mashing and wayfinding that borders on cruelty. The Switch version holds up well, but the source material wasn't strong enough to warrant a port in the first place.

Nov 12, 2019Vampyr is an ambitious attempt at boring the player into submission.
Gameplay: 2
Graphics: 5
Audio: 3
Fun Factor: 2
It's worth purchasing in the bargain bin. -

Nov 22, 2019Good game but a bad port. It looks horrible, en runs poorly. Beter to play on other systems

Jan 4, 2020The port is very shaky... in the five hours I’ve played so far, it Has crashed multiple times, loads at inopportune moments, and looks a bit fuzzy. But it’s still the whole game, and the story and dialogue is great. Recommended if you play on easy and just enjoy it as more of a visual novel.

Apr 10, 2021The combat does get a little boring after a while but the story, world and the character interactions kept me intrigued. Also playing it during a pandemic.

Nov 13, 2020This is quite a great game and a great port.
We get some distracting annoying loading screens, but this is a great game to be played on portable mode where I play the most.
Is such a great way to play this titles. -
Jul 27, 2020I really enjoyed the game play and the story, is easy to understand. You can choose how to spend your experience points: learn new attacks or defensive moves; improve the ones that you already learned or increase your life and resistance points. On the down side, the graphics are just OK, nothing incredible and the battles aren't very difficult to win, so it's not a very complicated game.

Aug 20, 2020Lags, bugs, "loading, loading, loading....". This game really sucks... (75 characters)

Aug 29, 2021I am reallly into this game i dont want to beat it. i know that sounds crazy but its just a fun well done game. The story is well done along with the combat and controls. Took a few min to get used to with the RPG elements, but once i picked it up it was alot of fun from there. Looks great and has a great errie feel to it.

Dec 19, 2021I think its a very good game i have it on 2 consoles. Great vibe, good vampyr game.
I love it. And alwas that.. its better on ps or pc or xbox yes we know the graphic are beter.. we dont care as switch players its a good game and on the go its great. A good rpg in a big city on the go perfect for me. Im having a blast of a time. -
Jan 31, 2022this game is on the fence for me. it does have a great story, but the graphics on the switch port is just ps1 quality. the graphics ruins the fun the game has in the story as everyone looks like a boiled potato. i expected more from the port as it was done by the same people who did the witcher 3 port for switch, and the graphics looked amazing. Buy it for the story, and nothing else

Sep 18, 2022I tried to playit, but it takes for ever in the loading screens, you cant even go from a point in the map to another with out watching at least 2 loading screens

Jul 9, 2023Horrible port for Nintendo Switch. Bad graphics, bad textures, frame drops, one of the worst nintendo switch ports.

Jun 1, 2020If you’re looking for a game on the go that’ll last you a few dozen hours (if you’re the completionist type), Vampyr delivers that. But that also means spending a few dozen hours with a game that’s not particularly interesting, and I don’t know why you’d want to bother with that.

Dec 18, 2019The port appears to be faithful to the original 2018 game, so if you enjoyed your time with that, London is yours to explore on the go. But I would be hesitant to recommend this game to most people, especially to those who expect a Life Is Strange-like experience from Dontnod. That being said, if a stale combat experience wouldn’t distract you from a strong narrative or if you are especially fascinated by the vampire aesthetic and its attached dilemmas, Vampyr might just be worth sinking your teeth into on Nintendo Switch.
