    Unidentified Falling Objects (UFO) from developer Andrew Morrish is an addictive battle puzzle experience that balances a chaotic falling block battleground with an upgradable astronaut that can handle the insanity. While it doesn’t work in all areas, it does enough to warrant multiple playthroughs.

    Unidentified Falling Objects is perhaps hurt a little by a bland theme, but the gameplay works quite well and I think anyone who enjoyed Shovel Knight Pocket Dungeon will have a good time here too. There are lots of challenges and stages to complete, tons of cool unlockables to earn, and a really strong multiplayer mode whether you go against a friend locally or manage to pull in enough people to play online. With solid mechanics, plenty of content, and a functional presentation, this is one UFO that puzzle game fans should enjoy being abducted by.

    Having played the demo a couple weeks ago, put 5+ hours into the game since it's release yesterday, and put many more hours into the firstHaving played the demo a couple weeks ago, put 5+ hours into the game since it's release yesterday, and put many more hours into the first game which this expanded on, I would call this one of my top ten falling block puzzle games of all time, and the best and most important game in the genre to be released since shovel knight pocket dungeon a couple years ago.

    The dev took every correct step after the first game, redesigning the level ups to be more fun and fair while maintaining the challenge of the game. There is an added kicking mechanic (ala Wario's Woods), though it's not just your standard "kick a brick and it goes until it hits something", there is also a grappling hook to pull bricks towards you, a pick up and throw, and many others. You can also change your jumps and guns (like in the first game), but there are way more settings in this one than before. I'm currently running the One Shot Kill gun, Rocket Boots, and Grappling Hook, and I recommend that you mess around with different layouts and see what works best for you.

    Because that's what this game is about customization, most of the best games of the genre have been. The basic gameplay is hard to explain, but there's a very generous demo, but it's basically Wario's Woods, and Mr Driller mixed together. In reality though, you get to play the game exactly how you want, there's even a hard mode for people who want more challenge.

    This game is much better than the recently release punchuin, which I also reviewed, and has the most in common to me with a game called UFO Dad on PS mobile, and I wonder if the dev of this game played it. I love the space theme, it's really well done. In fact there isn;t really much I don't love about this game. I was upset when it got delayed into august, because it was exactly what I wanted out of a follow up.

    If you Like falling block puzzle games you need to at least try the demo. The games a steal even at full price. Try it, buy it, it's great.    … Expand

There is local and online multiplayer, a load of achievements per world to aim for, a neat little spaceship hub...the game is addictive and polished and pure fun. I'd have loved some additional modes, e.g. endless, but I'm being picky really. Puzzler of the year by a long way.… Expand
