May 7, 2018Toki Tori on the Nintendo Switch is an excellent puzzle game. The difficult progresses naturally, the puzzles themselves will make you think about solutions other than what seem obvious, and the wild card and rewind functions are great for newcomers and veterans alike. If you have five dollars to spare, definitely give Toki Tori a shot.

Mar 26, 2018This is a back-to-basics, side-scrolling puzzle effort that will draw people in with its addictive gameplay and cleverly-crafted stages, and then test even the most hardcore with its extra challenges later on. The balance is perfect, and gets the old grey matter working hard throughout, proving to be extremely inventive and charming, in equal measure. Toki Tori deserves to shine, and hopefully on Nintendo Switch it will now get the attention it deserves.

While the goal always seems almost too easy on the surface, the game’s deceptive nature actually forces players to come up with perfect solutions throughout – which is no easy task!

Apr 27, 2018Ultimately, Toki Tori is a very simple game. But simple is not a bad thing here. The game has a clear vision of what it wants to accomplish and delivers a fun, challenging, and often rewarding puzzle/platformer experience. If you enjoy these kind of games but hate their cuteness, don't let the graphics fool you. Toki Tori can be a mind stumper, but always a fun time.

May 11, 2018Toki Tori is a great puzzle game in its own right, only shadowed by its improved sequel. But don’t let that put you off. If you enjoyed Toki Tori 2+ then don't think that you'll be playing with an inferior version of the same game - but instead a different twist on the same core principles.
