To reiterate what I said at the beginning of this review, though: your mileage on all this will vary depending on how much love you have for cheap-looking adventure games with a very British sense of humour. If you pine for the early ‘90s and wish games like Day of the Tentacle could come back (albeit in a much dumbed-down form), then this may seem like an answer to your prayers. As it stands, though, if you aren’t in that mood, then there’s nothing going on in The Mystery of Woolley Mountain that’s likely to win you over.

With its hilarious characters and great British humour this is up there with the best of them. It has a good storyline, puzzles and brilliant retro references. I hope there's a sequel. Full Review »

It’s easy to see a lot of love and care has been put into this game. The voice acting and humour in the game are fantastic, even if the story looses its way by the end.

Puzzles are convoluted enough to be challenging for point and click fans (you maniacs) but if you want to just enjoy the game, there’s a great walkthrough to help you along your way.

The Shake the Vessel mini game was frustrating for me, however that might just be a one off thing. Maybe I’m just terrible at video games!

Nevertheless, if you’re a fan of the genre you should 100% pick up The Mystery of Woolley Mountain. It’s $12.99 on the Nintendo eshop and I think worth every penny if you’re a point and click fan and like a bit of British comedy!
