I've changed a review since recent patch fixed quite a lot of technical and not only that kind of issues. But it's still not perfect. I'll leave the original one as a reference.

While it's good to finally see a Repentance DLC for Switch coming after nearly a year, it fails to be a pleasant experience that you would like to complete. Sadly, even with a day-one optimization patch game

While it's good to finally see a Repentance DLC for Switch coming after nearly a year, it fails to be a pleasant experience that you would like to complete. Sadly, even with a day-one optimization patch game still runs poorly in some areas (i.e. Downpour and Mirrored World, Dross) and it also doesn't have the latest 1.7.5 and 1.7.6 patches that greatly improved game's mechanics and fixed ton of bugs. I don't regret buying it tho, and I still hope that more optimization patches will come in future, but sadly it's quite a disturbing experience for now, especially if you are doing some crazy combos.

is a really good game with tons of things to do but by that reason i personally do not recommend it for low patient people cuz the game is really difficult if you are not "broken"

Repentance by name, and wonderful, welcome repentance by nature, this expansion is an apology for what became of Isaac and a promise to do better — a promise that it very much delivers on.

It’s hard to believe that The Binding of Isaac has been around for a decade. And in that time, not only hasn’t the spark of creativity diminished, but the game just kept getting bigger and better. And I really believe that with Repentance, we’ve reached the best possible version of the game. Not only is it challenging, but it’s well balanced. This is a love letter for fans, especially considering how cheap the DLC is for those that already own Afterbirth+. If you’re a fan of tight, twin-stick rogue-likes, you can’t miss playing The Binding of Isaac: Repentance.
