I have some issues with Terra Memoria but they're tiny and barely detract from an otherwise enjoyable experience. Fun battles, exploration, worldbuilding, characters - it's a simple yet solid RPG that I think almost any fan of the genre will find entertaining.

Terra Memoria was a wonderful way to pass the time after a long day at work. I’d curl up with it before bed, discovering new recipes to make or creating a cute pond in my town just because I wanted to. The story was also satisfying due to how wonderful the cast of characters are, and they all felt believable in spire of their individual quirks and familiar character tropes.

Terra Memoria blends JRPG turn-based gameplay with farming simulation elements, featuring a visually stunning pixel art style mixed with 3D backgrounds. While combat is enjoyable and easy to grasp, simulation aspects lack depth and significance in gameplay.

Overall, while there were some flaws to my time in Terra Memoria, I’m glad I was able to experience this captivating world which was full of great ideas, beautiful art, and an entertaining combat system. Some aspects felt not fully realized, but hopefully this means the developer is just getting started.

There’s a lot to like in Terra Memoria, especially in the game’s outstanding presentation. It’s clear its creators are fans of the RPG genre, and the foundation is here for something really great. Unfortunately, after a solid start the game doesn’t really build on things very well. Characters are paper-thin, the combat system quickly stagnates, and it all starts to feel like you’re just going through the motions. There’s enough gas in the tank here for me to recommend it to fans of the genre, though.
