Now while it's fair that Pyra/Mythra is in there are still questions about why Rex wasn't the one picked. Honestly I expect Rex to for the most part take over this fighter for the next Smash Bros game given that he was planned, the developers just didn't have enough time to fit Rex in there as well.

I'm very okay to see Nintendo characters get selected for Smash DLC since it's a Nintendo fighting game to begin with and the Smash Bros team should be able to pick fighters from them with ease.

In my opinion, Pyra and Mythra are both pretty fun to play, but there is something lacking.

Their designs are a little bit generic, and they don't really stand out as characters.

In terms of gameplay, they both feel satisfying to play, and the fact that they both have different play-styles is a cool concept.

The stage looks very beautiful and the additional music tracks are great.

Final Rating: "Very Good" ~ 7.5/10.

If you read my review on the Min Min DLC, then you may already be aware that I'm not a fan of when characters who are already spirits are madeIf you read my review on the Min Min DLC, then you may already be aware that I'm not a fan of when characters who are already spirits are made playable, as it feels shoehorned in my opinion. Alas, this has occurred again with Pyra and Mythra. The spirit board here, like in Challenger Pack 6, contains spirits available in the base game alongside a few new ones. This makes it feel minimal in comparison to Challenger Pack 1 for example, which has more than 10 new spirits.

Pyra and Mythra don't feel as forced as Min Min does however, and their swapping mechanic harkens back to Melee/Brawl Zelda and Sheik. Also, the music selection is quite good.

Overall, a pack that has its quality dampened by the choice of characters who are already spirits as its fighter. It's okay, but the game has better DLC available.
