    Mario should be dead by now. Same story, same gameplay, same 3HTK bosses, same goalless gameplay. Absolute piece of trash. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

    If you want to play Mario Odyssey so bad, just go watch Justice League. It has the same effect: disappointment. Actually, Justice League is better than Super Mario Zedong Odyssey.     And don't go finding this not helpful. People only like this game because it is Mario. If Kirby did a game like this, it would immediately be panned by critics. However, just because the name "Mario" is stamped onto the product it becomes an immediate 10/10 by any critic or user.

    And especially do NOT trust Metro GameCentral. They gave Super Mario Run a higher score than every Kirby game except for Mass Attack.
    I would trust a Hayley Atwell or Anya Taylor-Joy source like PCMag, Guardian, Gamespot, Video Chums, Screen Rant, IGN, CGM, Gaming Trend, Shacknews, My Nintendo News, VOOKS, and Destructoid, but Metro GameCentral is a racist or a Natalie Portman / Samantha Kelly, like Game Rant, God is a Geek, Slant Magazine, Games.cz, Twinfinite, Gamezebo, AusGamers, Telegraph, leetl1, livelovelaugh22, Polygon, Chaser the Ultimate Gamer, T3, Goron Dad, and VentureBeat.
    Polygon did NOT give the Recommends badge to KATFL like they should have!

    Do NOT trust these critics! All of them are Natalie Portmen and Samantha Kellies!

    The game is really fun but It lacks the 2-d part of 2-d and 3-d and the poses u can do are really sus. I find that there are to many glitches and the balloon thing is so **** because u have epic meta speed runners that use glitches to hide there balloon and then an average Joe sees it but cant do a tripe ground pound flying cap jump to get it

    Boring and overrated sandbox game, one of the worst Mario game I ever played. Some solutions are really fun, but only for while. If you want great 3D Mario game check 3D All Stars or Bowser's Fury addition to 3D World (and 3D World is much much better than this crap).

    It's just work, collecting moons.

    Game was too short and lackluster I really didn't enjoy my time with it as it was so short on content and even with dark and darker side of the moon it all felt really boring to me and overall uninteresting. Overhyped and overrated game in my honest opinion

The Kingdoms are only few, small sized and empty. They aren't interesting, funny, our colorful but instead uninspired, moody (very wannabe edgy) and just depressing.     I spent a year getting through the game, another year getting through the Dark Side of the Moon, and two years working on the Darker Side of the Moon. And I didn't even collect my way there, I bought my way in with gold farming!

    the story is actually Pretty dry BUT this game definitely is Beautiful. The ending is also very cool.

    The game is incredible easy like easy for baby's plus it's 60$ a total scam when you can beat it in like 3 days it's from 2017 and Nintendo hasn't lowered the price if you want a good game sell your switch and get about anything else

    As a huge fan of super Mario 64 i have to say that Mario Odyssey was really disappointing. Unfortunately the game never cought me. Everything is way too easy which makes it boring overall. You have to collect moons to progress further. But you get them for doing almost nothing. You can even buy them in the stores at the beginning of every level. There is mostly no challenge. I would put Galaxy, Galaxy 2, and sunshine all ahead of this game. Mario 64 is unfair to compare because it was from 25 years ago and the first of 3D Mario.     I've been playing Super Mario games since the NES, and this is hands down the worst Super Mario game to date.

    Awful, imprecise controls; Bad Camera; Boring, uninspired gameplay.

    I do not understand the general consensus of SMO. The game is more of a tour than a game. Deaths range from trivial to beneficial. It has some of the least replay value in any 3D Mario. The controls are unintuitive and not fun to use. Rarely do transformations benefit you. The Broodals are too cute. At one point you fight a gigantic dragon that makes me wonder why Bowser is necessary. I do not look forward to seeing characters from this game in spin-off games- or being reminded of Odyssey in General. Disappointing game. Don’t bother now that better 3D Mario games are on the Switch.… Expand

    While it was difficult to imagine how Nintendo could top previous 3D Mario adventures, Super Mario Odyssey is nigh-on perfect in almost every way. With the help of Cappy, Mario has never been as fun to control, reaching new heights and, in the hands of a skilled player, accomplishing impossible skips. You need only pick up a controller to see why this is the best modern Mario game ever.

    The best entry to the best platforming series is so ridiculously huge it’s like a theme park made of theme parks. It’s a wonderful tribute to Super Mario 64, but it’s not a lazy homage. Super Mario Odyssey draws inspiration from the superb classic to top it and everything that came after it. [13/2017, p.38]
