While the 3 games are great the collection itself is lackluster and shows a very minimal effort was given by Nintendo. The last thing this collection offers are the soundtracks of these great games available to play whenever which is the only feature added to this collection besides options to make these games work on the switch (hand-held mode). Lastly the mind boggling decision to remove the game from sale in March is very anti-consumer especially when people are having a rough time earning enough money during these hard times. Expand

This simply does not do the games justice. This game is by no means worth the 60 dollar price tag and the limited release makes it even worse.

While the games themselves are good and revolutionary for their time, they haven't aged well and I don't think the best idea is to sell them for $ 60 when there are even remasters or even remakes a lot cheaper. And the excuse that it is that expensive because it is a collector's item or because Mario is an iconic franchise is not worth me, since that would add an extra value to itWhile the games themselves are good and revolutionary for their time, they haven't aged well and I don't think the best idea is to sell them for $ 60 when there are even remasters or even remakes a lot cheaper. And the excuse that it is that expensive because it is a collector's item or because Mario is an iconic franchise is not worth me, since that would add an extra value to it superficially, when that value would only have to be calculated with the quality of the video game, replayability and the work of a company. You can buy PS1 games in the PS Store for less than $ 10, just to give an example of what Mario 64 should have come out individually, since many use the excuse of $ 20 per game, when in reality not it's like that. The games are emulated and there is not a single improvement that makes a second purchase worthwhile, if you already have the originals. And if you don't have them, there are better alternatives. I will not support piracy, but it must be recognized that even fans with the PC port (almost without money) or other companies with their respective ports or remakes have done more remarkable work, and Nintendo does not offer a more attractive alternative to this, improving The titles. Not because you like Mario does it mean you can't recognize this. I would also have suggested putting the Mario Galaxy 2, or putting the DS version of Mario 64 in its place, since as I said, Mario 64 of the 3 is the one that has aged the worst, it would not hurt to fix the outdated camera.
Some people said that its not a remake, and thats true, but it would be could if Nintendo does what Medievil remake did. The remake itself + the original game. If they had done this instead of the other, of course i will pay $ 60 without problems!
In short, everyone is free to spend money on whatever they want. Let everyone pay for what they want without being guided by the opinions of others, but at least recognize that it is a very improvable product and that it does not do justice to Mario's anniversary.

Great purist ports of some of the most important and fun platformers of our time.

These are great games (historically) but Nintendo didn't do them justice at all by putting its best foot forward here. Such a lazy and half-assed cash-in. Even the menu selection is low rent and minimal effort. Nintendo had the chance to knock this one out of the park, but they settled for a bunt. [Issue #49 – November/December 2020, p. 72]

The classic games have been ported over to the Nintendo Switch with upscaled graphics. The old controls feel clunky compared to modern gaming standards, but if you already love these games, this makes for a great purchase.

Super Mario 3D All-Stars is three masterpiece games in a lacklustre package thanks to poor upgrades, contrived control choices and barely any extra content. [Issue #2, p. 72]
