    If you've played this on 64 or gamecube...it's the exact same. Not sure why it costs 69.99 and not sure why they didn't add a single new feature, didn't even refine the camera and the things that make these games age poorly.

    This collection is lots of fun to play because I used to play these three great games when I was just a kid. Amazing graphics, great controls. The only game that is missing is Super Mario Galaxy 2. I just hope that eventually this game will join this collection and make it even MORE grander. Definite recommend and a must have for both old fans and new fans alike.

    3 great games for the price of one! This is a amazing collection and lots of fun. Its also cool that they added the sound tracks from the 3 games, I recommend you get this before they take off store shelfs!

    una puta mierda. agarran 3 juegos de hace como 15 años y lo venden a precio completo, lo peor es que ni siquiera añaden el super mario galaxy 2. los controles son horribles y ni siquiera es un remake literal se ve con mejores gráficos en un emulador 0/10 aunque sirve como un basurero para tirar tu dinero

    Why? What is the need for these mediocre games to be re-released for $60 for a limited time to create artificial demand? Do what I did..Rent this game, don't buy it! Don't give them the satisfaction. There's nothing here worth owning! SM64 looks so old, it's unplayable because it looks and feels like a 25 year old game. Sunshine is just terrible. Speaking of the Switch, you do know that Nintendo came out with the greatest Mario game ever with Odyssey, so just go and play or re-play that beautiful masterpiece. Playing anything other than Odyssey is just a waste of time.     Considering the greedy price, It is a collection of outdated games. Nothing there justifies full price, specially Super Mario 64, which should have at least an aspect ratio update. That is how Nintendo gets money out of our pockets recycling decades old games.

Then they grab the open source emulators that they hate so much, copy paste gamecube sunshine, nintendo 64 super mario and wii galaxy, change galaxy wii mote to touchpad, add the sound tracks in the menu and BAM, full price game !!     It’s unrealistic to expect Nintendo to remaster and rebuild three great games (from the bottom up) and charge the same price as they do for one remastered game. So I don’t understand all the criticism this package is getting. Rather then remaster they included two other games and just made ports instead. Playing Sunshine (without a    3 great PORTS for the price of ONE remastered game.

    The games themselves are good. SM64 is extremely outdated, Sunshine's controls feel pretty awkward and Galaxy is a straight up masterpiece.

    However, the compilation is very lacking and too expensive. Rare replay is an example of a good compilation.

Rom hackers have achieved more with less profit, which is an extremely major disappointment; this means that you can find better versions of these games for 100% freeI really wanted to give this game more stars, because it could have been absolutely perfect. This is a glitch that speed runners use to run world-record speed runs, they had the nerve to patch this out of the game which leaves the game as a downgraded version of Mario 64 DS, with 50% less content. Nintendo could have done more by doing less. Leaving backwards long jumping in the game wouldn't effect normal players, all it does is generate more anti-consumer product. I don't even use backwards long jump, but the fact that they removed that and left more important problems in the game just feels like they half-assed this release. Now, I'm not saying you wont have fun playing these games, because you definitely will because they are the best in their own genre. Nintendo could have done a hell of a lot more for 80 CAD.… Expand

    3 really good games, a little sad that its not remasterd but knowing nintendo i expected this, the only thing that i find very annoying is the limited time stuff, I get the fysical limited edition but also digital thats just very anti consumer.

It's more like a straight collection rather than something deserving of the All-Stars branding, but as far as collections go its hard to beat this incredible package! If they had also included Galaxy 2 I could have overlooked the lack of extras, but as is both missing an obvious inclusion and no extras keeps it from the highest rating.

    The games look great in HD, and they play and feel exactly how you remember - which is fantastic (outside of the dated camera issues). It's an absolute blast to play back through these classics!    … Expand

    this time nintendo has really exaggerated: a lazy porting, missing super mario galaxy 2 (surely it will come out with another collection at full price), and finally the unfortunate choice to make it available until March, only marketing to monetize and squeeze the wallets of fans .

    Great games, classics of all time of 3d platforming games. But this bundle is low budget! Mario is epic brand but playing old games with bad graphics and low fps is need to be fixed - otherwise I’m giving 2/10 for this bundle! Sorry Nintendo but thats how you celebrate it!

As a modern experience, the little work nintendo has done to bring these games to the switch has done nothing but mar these hallmark games. Super Mario 64 makes for a frustrating experience. Poor resolution (especially on a switch lite), no camera improvements, no tightening or improvment of gameplay all contribute to a hair pulling time controlling the iconic Italian. Mario constantly bumps and slides off little edges causing you to lose minutes of gameplay, being booted out of the level for a tiny mistep, forcing you to replay entire large segments over and over. The camera rarely keeps up with the game but this all to be expected for a game released in the 90s. This is the issue, nintendo had the chance to create a perfect version of the great Super Mario 64. Instead they settled for a low effort port (a poor emulation for that matter) which simply put a nintendo 64 game onto a switch and made it function. Overall, I stand by my opening statement. Nintendo truly put the nostalgia to work by making it dance infront of a hat waiting for you to throw in your $60.… Expand

    3 of the best games of all time, not much more to say. The collection is bare bones, it includes the soundtracks for each game and some little tidbits of info, and the improvements are mainly resolution and some FPS stability, but the games are unmatched in the genre.

    I would say overall this game is worth adding to your completion . It comes with three enjoyable games that run well and even have the option to listen to some of the beautiful music tracks.     I love nintendo games, I have owned every Nintendo console since the n64, but charging full price for three games without any real improvements is just a scam for easy money. Each Mario game is a masterpiece, but is lame to see reviewers justify the price and saying this is a perfect set, that doesn't even include galaxy 2.

    This port is correct but this is only a port with some detail fixed to let the game working correctly on switch that’s all ! Shunshine is damaged : fludd control is inverted and joycon controls are too meticulous ...soi tryed with a GC controller and it works far better !!! You need to remap ZL in switch settings menu :) if only nintendo can add some features to invert sticks...

    3 solid games, but Nintendo continues to show their greed. They really should learn from Activision when it comes to caring about their classic games. I hope they will remake the Metriod Prime Trilogy in the respectful way, and not like this lazy cash-grab. AGAIN

    This is just Mario Galaxy with two games as extras.
    Very nice to see Sunshine acknowledged by Nintendo and was given widescreen. Still as bugged out as ever.

    Great collection to have and carry around.Mario 64 was a bit hard at beginning with the controls but once you figure it out its easy.The other 2 are masterpieces.I guess snowflake kids and sony pony/xbone fans bombed the review cuz they are jealous.Only gamers that can truly appreciate a good game will understand what we have in this collection.

Galaxy felt fine to play on a pro controller. However my disappointment came when I turned on Sunshine. I plugged in my original gamecube controller and foundI defended this game quite a bit when it came to its price. Some people complain about the 60 USD price, but there was no way to play Mario Sunshine legally outside of buying a physical copy which goes for at least 60 USD on its own. Galaxy felt fine to play on a pro controller. However my disappointment came when I turned on Sunshine. I plugged in my original gamecube controller and found that the B button was rigged to the Y button. They lazily decided that they would only make proper controls for switch controllers despite it being a gamecube game. I decided to use the pro controller but was again met with dismay to see that the water spraying mechanics are now rigged to both of the R triggers. As someone that loves the game for the movement, I hate that Nintendo was too lazy to make proper gamecube controls, and tried to innovate something that didn't need it. I have a far better time on the gamecube.… Expand

    As much as I appreciate replaying these classic games, the compilation feels lazily put together. One of my main gripes is that Mario 64 is not widescreen. On a switch lite that means you are squinting at a tiny box in the middle of your screen. How can an unofficial port on PC be in 4K widescreen, whereas Nintendo themselves can't do it...laziness!

    The £50 price tag is not at all justified

    I like to think of myself as a hardcore gamer. I grew up on the Atari, NES, and Sega Genesis. Throughout the years, I've owned almost every console (sans the Sega Saturn and Wii U, although I don't feel I missed much with those). Some games you play for the story. Some you play for the gameplay. Others are a graphic fest.

    Super Mario 3D Allstars you play for the nostalgia trip overload. This collection is a love letter to the fans that grew up on Mario and I couldn't be more thrilled. I'm happy nothing was changed. What made these games in many ways was their character; bugs and all.

    I have to laugh at those who call the collection "Nintendo's worse" for them being emulated. I don't think many understand the technical challenge of getting an emulator up and running on the hardware the Switch boasts. Yeah, N64 really isn't that difficult, but the GameCube/Wii is a little different. I've played with my share of emulators, notably Dolphin (a well known GameCube/Wii emulator) and up until recently years (maybe the last five) it was unfeasible unless you owned a decent gaming rig with outstanding system specs. The fact that they got both Super Mario Sunshine and Mario Galaxy up and running with noticable upscaling enabled is impressive in itself.

    Lol. Did you really think Nintendo was going to rebuild all three from the ground up? Does anyone really understand what that would of entailed and cost? Let's talk about a nightmare of ripping assets from games and trying to craft a new engine for all three     … Expand

    Getting 3 of the best games of all time is a definite win. All three have had some improvements. They aren't remakes or remasters though. They got some extra polish and a changed control scheme to match the Switch. Do not expect graphics like in Mario Odyssey. But these games ARE fun. I've never played any of them so I have no nostalgic bias.

    Dont obey the bad troll fake reviews.
    The HD upscale of Super Mario Galaxy is a HUGE (!) upgrade to the Wii graphics. Also true for Super Mario Sunshine. Joycon motion control instead of WiiMote also is very good. Super Mario 64 could be a little smother though, framerate-wise. If they deliver SMG2 later on its a perfect 10. Cheers and thanks Nintendo for 2 awesome remasters!

    Unfortunately its not a remastered game. It is more like running the Mario in a simulator on PC.
    So the controls are bad and unfriendly on today's Nintendo switch.
    Hopefully, they can learn from links awakening.

    I understand not having an option to use the native Gamecube controls, but having no option to change back inverted controls from the original game (For all games), some odd emulations issues, as well as very odd changes overall to different aspects make this feel very 'why' I guess is the best word.

    This is exactly what I asked for, each game a console pushing masterpiece on its' coinciding hardware; running smooth and looking so clean. This is far from a lackluster port, sure, you can always ask for more. But, the fact that this exists is a testament to the staying power and influence of the Nintendo Switch. Thank you, Nintendo. ♥️

    Honestly people have been complaining about this game and I just dont agree. 3 full games for 60 USD is a steal. IDC if they are roms and you can play them on your PC for free. I want to play them on the go and Nintendo lets me do that for a very decent price in my eyes. Also Super Mario galaxy looks fantastic and is worth the price alone on the switch. Get this game

    Really disappointed with this "remaster" SM64 and Sunshine feel really outdated. Controls feel really old and clunky. Awful screen aspect ratio for SM64 only makes it worse. Inverted vertical controls in Sunshine when you try to spray water is so bad you can't get used to it. Your muscle memory won't let you. And there's no way to change it on settings. Lazy cash grab it's what this is I'm afraid.

Playing Mario Galaxy on 3D All-Stars with a Pro Controller felt kind of "off" to me. I even tried using joycons instead but even using those is a bit off for me too. Especially since joycons can easily break, but the good thing is I can just go get them repaired if that were to happen. This is also the collection that introduced me to Super Mario Sunshine, and man were the controls just really weird in general. Then there was Super Mario 64, I feel a bit mixed with 64. I played the original on the Nintendo 64, and it felt good to play with an N64 controller. But just like with Galaxy and Sunshine, playing this cult classic with a Nintendo Switch Pro Controller also felt a little off. I do wish they gave the option to bind the controls to different buttons to make it easier to play these games. They could've also updated the graphics of the games, included Galaxy 2. This collection could've been so much better. But it has a few problems that ruins the experience for me.    … Expand

    These 3 are easily some of my favourite games of all time, but the fact that with the exception of Galaxy the other games use some nasty emulators that don't even hand a candle to the originals in terms on controls on Sunshine and visuals on 64 (Why are those borders even here?) shows how lazy of a collection it is, what a shame.

    This could have been fantastic, but then they ruined the control scheme and offer no way to change it in game. Normally this wouldn't kill a game for me, but considering it is a release of 3 Critically Acclaimed games for modern hardware, this causes problems.

    En su momento no pude comprarme una n64, una gamecube o una wii por lo que en mi caso fue una gran oportunidad. 3 Juegos increibles lideres de cada una de su generación en materia de innovación y plataformeo.     All 3 games looks beautiful in my 49 inch TV, many said this game is a crap just because they are emulated, but that emulation works is really goods, Mario 64 looks even better that I expected and this is the game I'm enjoying most.
    You can enjoy the soundtrack of all these 3 games with the switch screen off.

    GOOD - But needed updating

    I will start with the fact that I simply cannot play Super Mario 64 as the controls are so hard to get back to grips with in modern day gaming. Mario turns like a truck - in a big, wide arc, rather than on a dime like you would expect; the result of which is infuriating as you try to speak to characters or read signposts around the castle and worlds.     I will start with the fact that I simply cannot play Super Mario 64 as the controls are so hard to get back to grips with in modern day gaming. Mario turns like a truck - in a big, wide arc, rather than on a dime like you would expect; the result of which is infuriating as you try to speak to characters or read signposts around the castle and worlds.

    I bought this game however to play Sunshine again and to finally play Galaxy (I had a Wii late in the lifecycle and as such never got around to it). I am not disappointed with Sunshine at all though and the HD textures do what was already a beautiful game justice, but again, the controls are a little hard at times: especially in the platforming levels!

    Was it worth £50? Yes as there are three fantastic games present on the cart.
    Was it in need of an facelift? Certainly yes for 64, which begs the question as to why they didn't use the updated models from the DS release.
    Was it in need of some tweaking? Absolutely, and this is where it falls down as Nintendo seem to have just pulled the ROMs and slapped them on a cart. New camera controls for Sunshine and 64 would have been a must for most players asked and the control scheme itself can be infuriating at times.

    Here's hoping for some patches, but I shan't hold my breath.    … Expand

    A very obvious and lazy cash grab. Nintendo fans are to blame, Nintendo only saw an oppurtunity for fast money and took it. Next time don't cry tears of joy when someone recycles 3 old games.

    Sick and tired of this constant streaming of negativity and whining that gaming community has become, never happy with anything. This is fantastic collections of 3 of the best games ever made and they look better than ever and play as well as always. In order to play all this games without this collection you would have to pay a lot of money to get the original titles and the original consoles, you could also use emulation but good emulation is usually a constant headache, normally goes toe to toe with piracy and you dont have the benefits of playing on the go.

    Sunshine alone justifies this purchase, the game improves massively with the new wide aspect ratio and 1080p, Galaxy is still one of the best games ever done, looking better than ever, the improvements arent as massive but the game didnt need them, Mario 64 deserved maybe a bit morre of work put into it but is the same classic as always and looks way better than on N64.

    considero que en esta recopilacion se encuentran 3 de los titulos mas iconicos y maravillosos de la saga super mario y de los videjos juegos en general. si estan corriendo emulados pero eso no niega que no tengan un trabajo detras, aunque si pudo ser mejor. se trato de mantener la escencia de los juegos originales, pero hubiese sido bueno que dejaran escoger eso a los jugadores ya queconsidero que en esta recopilacion se encuentran 3 de los titulos mas iconicos y maravillosos de la saga super mario y de los videjos juegos en general. si estan corriendo emulados pero eso no niega que no tengan un trabajo detras, aunque si pudo ser mejor. se trato de mantener la escencia de los juegos originales, pero hubiese sido bueno que dejaran escoger eso a los jugadores ya que algunos sobre todos los nuevos jugadores exigen fps mas altos o en el caso de mario 64 la pantalla completa y la resolucion a 1080, y estoy de acuerdo, sin embargo eso no quita que por si solos estos juegos sean excelentes y pues juntos hacen de este titulo una autentica joya. su rendimiento es perfecto y se ven hermosos. queda de sobra decir que en lo jugable son juegazos con toda la ley. pero no es un titulo perfecto debido en mi opinion al precio. el precio sigue siendo muy alto aun despues de todo eso, sobre todo en latinoamerica. es muy dificil o imposible encontrar juegos en latinoamerica a su precio correcto. ademas del precio otro aspecto negativo es lo comentado anteriormente, cosas como la pantalla completa en mario 64 y poder ofrecer al jugador al menos la opcion de si querer o no jugar a 30 o 60 fps me parece inexplicable, ya que con sunshine si se aplico la pantalla completa y es mas que obvio que los dos primeros titulos pueden correr a 60 fps en nintendo switch. ademas como ultio punto otra cosa que hecho muchisimo en falta es mario galaxy 2 no puedes hacer un recopilatorio de juegos donde esta mario galaxy 1 sin poner mario galaxy 2, y quizas solo quizas haber incorporado este juego hubiese hecho que esos 60 dolares estuvieran mejor justificados y valdrian aun mas la pena, ya que aunque dije que me resulta caro no significa que piense que no valen al pena, es mas en lo personal para mi vale cada centavo pero eso ya es algo muy muy muy subjetivo. en resumidas cuentas, el juego ya solo por tener estso 3 titulos es un 10 pero debido a esos aspectos esque me es imposible darle de nota un 10 a este video juego, porque se que son cosas que si se podian hacer, mas sinembargo simplemente decidieron no hacerlas. espero lo disfruten tanto como yo lo estoy haciendo un titulo perfecto tanto para veteranos como nuevos en el mundo de los videojuegos y que sin duda debes jugar antes de morir.

    Posdata: por favor valoren el soundtrack, muchos diran que son rolas que pueden escuchar en youtube y todo lo que quieran pero es un gran gran tesoro ese soundtrack, ademas de que es hermoso. algo muy valioso.    … Expand

    Pagas no demasiado para ser un emulador de room's un simple copia y pega. Nintendo fue listo porque les da a todos los nintenfermos en la nostalgia y ahí andan diciendo cuánta incuerencia con tal de defenderlo. Halo TMCC hizo lo impensable con un remaster único. Los nintenfermos dicen que bueno que está así sin remasterizar porque nos da en la nostalgia. Es justo como lo recordamos esPagas no demasiado para ser un emulador de room's un simple copia y pega.     The classic games have been ported over to the Nintendo Switch with upscaled graphics. The old controls feel clunky compared to modern gaming standards, but if you already love these games, this makes for a great purchase.
