Subdivision Infinity DX is a decent space dogfighter that makes the transition from mobile to console without feeling like a cheap port. Controls are tight and responsive, but they are let down by an auto-targeting system that makes engaging in combat a little too easy. Missions do get a little repetitive after a while, but those involving battles with much larger ships (including the enjoyable boss fights) really help redress the balance. Presentation is a little inconsistent, but the visuals and performance really show a) how far mobile games have come, and b) how a little extra processing power can go a long way.

Subdivision Infinity DX is a functional 3D Space Shooter that handles great but does absolutely nothing to define itself. It serves as yet another example of a game that in the mobile space exhibits above average effort, yet falls firmly into the realm of mediocrity when ported to a full console. There is certainly some fun to be had here, but it is all fun that has been done better by other 3D space shooters on Switch.

I felt miss sold, as the promo shows the cockpit view, which looks awesome but unfortunately is just cutscene. The aiming is designed for auto aim, which hasn't been set up for switch and still remains like a phone game with it's automatic lock on. This makes it too easy, but switch off and discover it's uselessness as the aim twitches past the target again and again. Comparable game lacklustre and directly ported with little thought to the system of play. Shame
