Dec 11, 2018Storm Boy: The Game is an interesting take on interactive storytelling, and young children or fans of the book may find enjoyment here, but its short length and lack of any real gameplay make it one worth passing on for the average Switch Player.

Dec 7, 2018I can't imagine anyone playing Storm Boy and getting more enjoyment from it than they can from reading the book or watching one of its theatrical adaptations. That being said, it's still a charming and delightful game, that's for sure.

Dec 5, 2018I finished in roughly an hour and was shocked that it finished. Of course, there’s nothing wrong with short games, but brief experiences still need to deliver some substance — and sadly, Storm Boy doesn’t deliver.

Nov 26, 2018Storm Boy is very difficult to recommend. There are some nice (but very limited) visuals and music, but there is also very little content combined with minigames that serve no purpose, to the point of feeling incomplete. The selling price isn’t high, but it’s cheaper to pick up the original novel for the Kindle, and you’ll own a classic book too.

Aug 26, 2020Pros: Good graphics; beautiful atmosphere. Cons: The minigames were cute but uninteresting otherwise.
