Nov 10, 2022Best Sonic game ever, since Unleashed!
Great story and so much fun, a lot of things to do
Sega finally find the way to the modern Sonic games. -
Nov 10, 2022And absolutely awesome game, by far surpassing anything that Sonic Team has created since Sonic Unleashed.

Nov 11, 2022This is great the best game of the year. A marvel. on the XBOX S it works better than on the PS5. I really liked the game.

Nov 10, 2022One of the best Sonic Games of all time, in my opinion better than Sonic Generations and Unleashed, the gameplay, the music, the story, this is the sonic comeback that i was wating for!
-
Nov 14, 2022Very fun game. A little rough around the edges in ways that could have been fixed with another month of polishing off but doesn't detract from the overall experience. Easily the best Sonic game we've had in over a decade and a promising sign of things to come.

Nov 15, 2022This game is a scam, it’s the worst sonic game.
Always the same paterns for all the islands, the cyber levels are the worst levels in the entire series even worst than forces and i don’t gonna talk about the game physics.
Good try sonic team but for me It’s definitely a no. -
Nov 21, 2022Wow...
So, uh... this game is Amazin'?
I did not expect to love this as much as I did, and this is comin' from someone that Loved Sonic Forces!
But this game is just on another level!
Everythin', the Story, the OST, the Cutscenes, the Gameplay, The Bosses... there wasn't a single thing I disliked 'bout this one, and I'm still in awe on how much this made me feel good!

Aug 22, 2023Dropped it after a few hours of game. Hope this is the last Sonic open world because this clearly isn't a good nor funny idea: combat is boring, enemies are boring, open world environment is boring, open world mechanics are not working well, 2 times out of 5 you'll fall without even knowing why, and the list goes on.

Apr 25, 2023I love how this game boils down to just a few things:
- Run around without reason
- Go "Oooh what's that?"
- Go there
- Do the thing
- Repeat until you're somehow at the end of the island smacking titan ass after 4-5 hours of getting distracted by small platforming challenges, puzzles and treasure spots.
Yeah this game ain't for everyone but it's at least worth a try. -
Nov 18, 2022Great game, the end of the game was a bit underwhelming, and the resolution on switch is a bit blurry, but i had a lot of fun with the game and i hope Sonic team does something even greater next time

Nov 19, 2022Genuinely fun game. I can forgive a lot of the jank from the sheer spectacle of it all. I enjoyed the combo system for fights and I look forward to what Sonic Team can do in the future with it and the "Open Zone" idea with sonic in the future. I genuinely was reminded of playing Sonic Adventure all of those years ago.
-
Jan 13, 2023The performance is absolutely horrendous. It is like playing something from 15 years ago. This doesn't belong on the Switch in this state. It's actually a pretty decent game otherwise.

Dec 9, 2022game top Sonic got up from his knees I advise everyone .My advice is not to think about the repetition of assets think about the plot
-
Nov 29, 2022This game is solid but the amount of pop-in ruins some of the game, but it's still a fun game and worth buying for 30-40 bucks.

Nintendo Force MagazineMar 30, 2023Sonic Frontiers is a brave experiment that struggles to express its intentions while still committing many of its series' 3D sins. But if you're able to commit to learning its idiosyncrasies, you'll discover a fun, addictive journey unlike any in Sonic's past. [Issue #64 – March/April 2023, p. 71]

Jan 20, 2023Sonic Frontiers tried so hard to bring new elements to the game that it ended up forgetting to put more of the personality of its own franchise. However, they managed to create a dynamic, captivating and fast game - as good as any other in the Sonic franchise. It's the kind of game where time passes like lightning, blue lightning.

Jan 19, 2023Sonic Frontiers deserves credit for being a true departure from previous series installments. The open-zone structure is a great concept that frees the developers up to experiment with Sonic’s speed and abilities in new ways. Where the game comes up short is in its stale rehashing of classic stages, a control setup that could stand to be simplified, and performance woes that suck players out of the gameplay experience. With plenty of DLC and patches on the way, hopefully Frontiers can become a better version of what came out at launch. In the interim, it’s a buggy affair that entertains and frustrates in equal measures.
