Apr 27, 2017Snake Pass exceeded my expectations. It can be very difficult, but never did it feel unfair. Every I failed to platform it was my fault, the level design is brilliant and the music is fantastic! They really payed close attention to detail. Water droplets smack drums in time and tune to the music. A cheerful slithery platformer.

Jul 17, 2019One of the first games I got for the Switch back when it released. Yes the controls can be wonky, but it's honestly a unique platformer with a lot of charm and pretty graphics. All round, I really enjoyed it and hope for a sequel!

Mar 29, 2017This is a 'budget' game that surprised me. I am so happy they could port it to the Switch in such a short time. It's a great platformer and also a puzzle how to reach things. To be fair, i will reward this with a 9 out of 10, by comparing in to other games that release in this medium price range (€19,99).
For this money you have a nice platformer that forces you to think like a snake. -
Apr 1, 2017A great game, gave me several hours of fun but I took a little getting used to the gameplay.
The soundtrack reminds me of banjo kazooie and the HD rumble I found a great addition.
A great puzzle game. -
Apr 9, 2017This game is so unique. It is honestly one of the most creative platformers that I have ever seen. The visuals remind me of both Disney and Rare. The music was composed by David Wise of all people!

Nov 24, 2019While the game can be a little frustrating at times the game is incredibly unique. It's fun to 100% and the game isn't too short and the game is incredibly charming.

Mar 31, 2017Game has a nice idea with interesting controls but can also get frustrating at times when the snake just does not do what you want. :) Still i gave it 8 points for the great idea, nice visuals and overall good level design.

Apr 19, 2017I really enjoyed this game! Looks good. Fun to play. Never played a game like this before.
But one thing really frustrated me... the camera! THE CAMERA IS SO FRUSTRATING!!! I some levels i really felt the urge to smash my switch against the wall. Glad i did not! :) -

Jul 2, 2017I mean the graphics are very nice and the controls are unique and not very hard to use. The rest..... not very good. The level design is really bad. The camera angles are also very annoying and often can mess you up. But not an overall bad game. Its ok.

Mar 21, 2020This game had potential but it was honestly just boring. This is honestly just an opinion. It's definitely a game that some people will enjoy. I'm not one of them

Mar 13, 2020I believe I had an easier time with this game's creative controls than most, and I did love the designs of the numerous stages, but there wasn't much substance or incentive left over to bring me back again.

Apr 24, 2017For those who persevere and manage to find themselves one with the controls – those that embody the life of a snake – you’ll likely look back on this as a hidden gem that was glossed over by far too many. Personally it’s a game that I enjoy; one that I want to finish but never will. The pain of dropping to my death and losing minutes of progress for the eighth time, because my fingers just couldn’t keep up, outweighs the immense joy I got from succeeding on the ninth attempt.

Nintendo Force MagazineApr 24, 2017A charming design that puts an inventive twist on puzzle platformers. If you can stomach some moments of frustration, Snake Pass is certainly worth a look. [Issue #27 – May/June 2017, p. 25]

Apr 21, 2017It may look childish, but it's a challenging and tough platformer. Put the blame on its tricky control scheme.
