I’m obviously the target market for this game. I like trashy fanservicey things, and Seven Pirates H, by virtue of being one of the trashiest and most fanserviey things I’ve ever played, just happens to be a really good example of that. Everything within the game is well-crafted in service of this one particular goal, and the result is outrageous, ridiculous and fun. This is the finest example of raunch humour on the Switch.

While not exactly breaking new ground in the genre, Seven Pirates H knows all of the notes well enough to do a decent job of it. And with all of the immature humour you’ll be laughing your tits off.

Despite its flaws, Seven Pirates H is an addictive and fun adventure. Underneath the fanservice exterior is a cute RPG, just don’t go into this expecting anything challenging or remotely intellectually stimulating and you’ll find yourself having fun.

Though it departs from the previous two games in the series, Seven Pirates H still manages to carve out its own niche in the adult-minded gaming space. While the differences between past games and this one may seem jarring at first, overall many of the gameplay tweaks come as welcome changes. Just consider whether it’s worth trying to explain the Chest Growth system to your seatmate on that next plane ride.

Seven Pirates H is a flawed but enjoyable game. An extremely unique system of leveling up, a light-hearted plot, and a cast of adorable characters somehow manages to mix charming and lewd in a surprisingly effective way. Unfortunately, the game is hampered by uninspired dungeons, combat that eventually grows repetitive (especially considering enemies tend to be far, far weaker than boss fights, which can be a slog), and an over-reliance on the booby training gimmick. Perhaps the game’s most damning flaw is my least favorite design choice ever: forcing players to revisit every single dungeon to fight a new boss as part of the story. Still, even with the obvious flaws, if you’re looking for a silly RPG with over-the-top fanservice, Seven Pirates H is very, very likely to scratch that itch.

Seven Pirates H is not a title that wishes to be taken seriously. While there is a decent story and fun characters behind the fan service, the shallow combat can become tiresome after a few hours. It is fun and a lot of the humour lands, but the actual gameplay can be a bit threadbare. While the headline Booby Training mechanic is an interesting way to customise your party, it doesn’t break up the monotony of the gameplay. This is a title that won't keep to occupied too long and is best enjoyed in in fits and starts, and very much within the privacy and comfort of one’s own home.

The joy here is not exploring, fighting, or experiencing a carefully written plot. Seven Pirates H is pretty honest with what it is, so you'll get some tiny amount of fun, but it will be in the form of extremely-casual-friendly gameplay, sexual innuendo-fuelled imagery and dialogue, and anime funbags that grow and change with a little caressing. Does this make the game any less repetitive? Unfortunately not.

Seven Pirates H might just be the weakest of the localized Genkai Tokki titles. Part of this could be the transition from Compile Heart to Felistella. It also could be due to a shift from 2D to full 3D. The lower monster girl count, decreased difficulty, and general direction mean Seven Pirates H is a much shorter and simpler game than its predecessors. People who want it for the fanservice and envelope-pushing content will find exactly what they are looking for, but it is a stripped-down experience compared to past titles.

Wow! Bewbs! If you like to bewbs, and you like to play with bewbs as much as you like RPGs, this game is for you! (sry about spelling itWow! Bewbs! If you like to bewbs, and you like to play with bewbs as much as you like RPGs, this game is for you! (sry about spelling it 'bewbs' but Im not sure about Metacritics review rules so ill spelling it that way for this whole review. *winky*) So this is actually a very high quality RPG! Impressed with the mechanics and the characters! No male characters in this game! Only girls! Even Parute has 2 moms! (Happy Late Pride Month! But really, Pride doesnt need a month. Pride should be recognized all year round!) So if you dont like male characters, this game is defs for you fam! My only real complaint about this game, is that big boobs = high attack. I wish I could have made all my characters flat. (Im a 'flat is justice' kind of guy myself *winky*) But I dont discriminate against boob sizes. That would be wrong. (Even though I kinda do *winky*) Overall, This game is alot of fun! Not a super long game, and the story and characters really shine! Id welcome a 2nd title, but I want more characters!! Give me more! MOOOORREE!! Whose best girl? Well well well! Im glad you asked! (Im sure my chat whos watching me write this, is also wondering the same, so Ill gladly indulge everyone at the same time!) Best girl is clearly Jewel! She is super cute! Plus, shes has one of, nonono! THE best JP Voice Access known to man! Kana Asumi! She voices Blanc in the other popular Compile Heart franchise Hyper Dimension Neptunia! Maybe youve heard of it? If you havent? git gud! (kek gottem) Anyway, Before this review cracks two thousand characters or so, (pls dont count cuz its gettin pretty close) Ill summarize by saying, any RPG fan should give this game a go! Its an absolute piratey good time full of bewbs (see I told you id spell it that way) and great characters and RPG gameplay! Dont be distracted by all the bewbs, just sit back and enjoy them anywhere you would normally enjoy bewbs *winky* Full Review »
