Nov 21, 2023Roller Coaster Tycoon Adventures is a game I want to enjoy, and I felt like this Deluxe release had the opportunity to iron out the issues of the original release and deliver on that potential. Sadly, the problems that were present in the 2018 release of Roller Coaster Tycoon Adventures persist in Roller Coaster Tycoon Adventures Deluxe. It’s plagued with bugs, technical issues, and some plain odd UI decisions. You get more of almost everything, but what the game really needed is nowhere to be found. There’s little reason to bother with this broken-down attraction when much better rides can be found a short walk away.

Nov 28, 2023Overall, Rollercoaster Tycoon Adventures Deluxe isn't right for fans of the series. It isn't right for anyone, really, and especially not for the price of $40. It works, and it looks nice enough, but it's a smokescreen that hides a game that's been simplified beyond recognition. The experience is also devoid of any fun that I'd usually associate with building a dream theme park.

Nov 3, 2023There is new content here, and the UI has been updated, but I'm still unsure why this Deluxe version of the game exists. If you have the non-Deluxe version of the game, you're not missing anything. The developers had five years to make the game run better, or at least passable. You're better off playing this on anything other than the Switch; at least it would work despite its shortcomings.
