It's pretty well done, considering its casual length, maybe 5 hours long, and being budget title as well.
It takes two playthroughs to learn the real story, but that's by design. Reverse Memories is very linear, with only two instances requiring player inputs. Both times the correct choice was obvious and both times, the game ended with the bad choice, so save on the choice screens if you want all possible pathways.
The character designs were fine, typical of a high school romance VN. The soundtrack was subdued piano music and quite calming. The game doesn't have tons of extras, just a gallery of CGs. The voice acting is in Chinese, which I actually prefer to Japanese, but be aware if you are unfamiliar with Chinese voice acting. Also, the subtitles are a little clunky, with a handful of run-on words and a few awkward pauses between lines of dialogue, but it's nothing game-breaking. Overall, Reverse Memories was an enjoyable VN experience and worth the purchase.… Expand
