If you like Resident Evil 6 you wont be disappointed with this version. Play as handheld is awesome and now be able to aim with motion controls for me makes this version a must buy.
Sadly RE4 doesn't have motion controls...

Motion control is the icing on the cake for this excellent game. All dlc game modes have been thrown in, making this a purchase packed full of content. 4 very different campaigns, agent hunt, online and local co-op play all band together to make this an easy decision to make. What's more, if you've already got resident evil 4 you get a discounted price.

Despite the good native resolution the variable framerate,in some moments, is more closer to the last gen than to the current (especially in Chris campaign)..The variable framerate in Leon, Ada and Jake campaign, insted, is more closer to ps4/xone version but not stable at 50/60 fps.. capcom can do better! However, switch portability always offers a good feeling.

One of my favorite RE games, even though it's more action oriented.. I think it works and it's a nice change from the "standard" RE formula. Multiple characters to choose from so the re-play value is very high for this title. Some minor frame rate hick ups but nothing that takes away from my experience so far. Very nice Switch port of a somewhat underrated game. If you are fan of the action Resi games this is a must buy. Motion controls are solid, the campaign will give you plenty of bang for your buck, plus all the extras it is certainly a value buy especially if you cop it during one of the very frequent Capcom sales on the e-shop. No, this game is no masterpiece like Resi-4 but if you've played that one to death this is a fun game to pick up with plenty of evolutions to the gameplay that make this feel fresh, though still not as satisfying in the gameplay department as RE4, especially with the fantastic weapon upgrade system missing which is substituted by a less satysfying skill upgrade system. Haven't played the Co-op but should be a blast, as every campaign is designed specifically to be enjoyed fully with another player sitting next to you on the couch. If you are on the fence about this game due to the awful reception by critics and fans at launch definitely give it a shot and you'll be pleasently surprised. Expand

I’m a loyal fan of the series, and I was shocked from the bad reviews. The game is great and gives a variety of campaigns to choose from, The story and the enemies are completely different in each campaign. Anyone who wants to start the game I suggest to begin with Chris campaign.

I'm writing this review strictly for the Switch version. I played the original on the X360 and as well as the PS4 version. I enjoyed the console versions very much, and I still feel like RE6 is underrated. Anyways, when I played through Leon's Campaign, I would be in school, chilling in my first period secretly playing with my backpack covering my switch. The experience is very much solid on the Switch. I was more impressed on how well it ran and how the framerate in my experience was very consistent. No bad frame pacing or anything. This is well worth your money. Yeah the story can be cringey, BUT considering this is a handheld version that gives you access to multiple campaigns, I say its worth your money. There is plenty of content to keep you busy, unllike *cough*RE3 Remastered*cough*, excuse me. Overall, a good buy for your switch if you're a fan of the game, or even as a new entry into the series. ps. *anyone else get scared in the cemetary area? xd* Expand

Great port of a severely underrated entry in the resident evil series. No complaints from me.

Although the technical issues are a shame, the game is still technically fully playable without too much issue, and is certainly a lot more interesting than Resident Evil 5. If the Switch is your only option to play Resident Evil 6 then this port will have to do, but it’s a shame that the system can’t quite handle how intense the experience is. Still, if you can accept the technical limitations and the lack of horror here then Resident Evil 6 can deliver a really great time, and can finally be looked at as just another fun anecdote in the history of the series.

As it stands, these are both really solid ports of some pretty fun video games from the last generation brought to portable life on the Switch. If you’re in the market for more Resident Evil on the go, then you’ll likely want to pick both up when you have a chance.

A game that leaves the surival horror in the background and focuses on fighting. It shines in its multiplayer section but fails to give us a more frightening story.
