Feb 7, 2021I have never played this game before so my review was not swayed by nostalgia.
Compared to modern games, this controls terribly. You can't move and shoot at the same time, the movement is like you are stuck in mud and there is no gyro aiming.
The save points are few and far between and you have to keep going into the menu for health items. -
May 30, 2019The game is the best Resident Evil like 10 years ago, the bad thing is the control slow and not giroscope, it´s much better wii version.

Feb 17, 2022This was the point of the franchises downfall. resident evil 4 is the second worst game of the franchise, followed by 8.

Jan 6, 2021not worth it. controls are hard. and very expensive for a game that originally came out from 2005.

Jul 7, 2022QTEs on professional difficulty are almost impossible. That’s a deal breaker for me since I only play on professional

Jan 21, 2020Resident Evil 4 is entertaining throughout - this review has focussed on negative missteps that have been taken while concocting the Nintendo Switch version. It is more expensive than PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions, with no actual differences between them. However, it is undeniable that it is a standout title despite these somewhat ageing issues. To help compensate for this, it does run at a stable 60 frame-rate, and of course, is now fully portable. It may not be the definitive version of Resident Evil 4, but it is still a fun one nonetheless.

Sep 5, 2019It may offer nothing new from past ports, but even in its creaky age, Resident Evil 4 remains a stone-cold classic. From its terrifyingly opening to the final getaway, it’s a hell of a ride that most AAA single-player campaigns only wish they could be.

Jul 31, 2019A wonderfully cheesy narrative, brilliant level and character design, stunning art direction, and some of the best shooting mechanics ever made all coalesce into a legend of the video game industry. Resident Evil 4 HD absolutely needs to be in everyone’s Switch library.
