Oct 2, 2025I had so much fun with QQQbeats!!! that I didn't want to put it down to write this review but I'm glad that I did because I can now tell all my chums just how great of a game it is. So, yes, if you enjoy puzzle and rhythm games, you need to play this.

Jan 6, 2026QQQbeats!!! is a fun game that's made some notable improvements over the formula established by Touhou Spell Bubble. The fully voiced cut scenes and addition of rapid-fire rhythm segments make the game more exciting, while the addition of a co-op mode gives Touhou Spell Bubble fans something different to look forward to. The soundtrack is excellent, and even though the online community is gone, the presence of local play means that the solid gameplay mechanics can still be experienced long after the campaign is done. QQQbeats!!! is a hidden gem of a game, and fans of puzzle and rhythm games should seek this one out.

Oct 19, 2025QQQbeats is an entertaining puzzle game with rhythm elements, but I find I didn’t enjoy it as much as its predecessor Touhou Spell Bubble. It’s great that online multiplayer is present right away, as well as both competitive and cooperative options. There’s a pretty strong selection of songs too. The story isn’t great though, and the selection of characters don’t feel as versatile as the previous game. If you did already pick up and love Touhou Spell Bubble, then QQQbeats is worth your time. If you didn’t, then I’d suggest you start there first.

Feb 11, 2026A slick, approachable blend of classic Puzzle Bobble/Bust-A-Move gameplay and rhythm mechanics, QQQbeats!!! is tons of fun, and said fun is elevated by a very good soundtrack and charming presentation. Its simplicity makes it a title that’s easy to pick up and play, yet it’s surprisingly hard to master, so be prepared to lose 10 (or more) consecutive matches against a teenager from abroad. The somewhat low mechanical variety and limited number of modes curb its long-term appeal, however, so approach cautiously.
