    PUSS! it's an ideal game for the ones that enjoy challenges and doesn't desist until accomplishment. A simple gameplay that anyone can master covered with tons of craziness and trippy art. But that same virtues can be the biggest flaws for others, specially if you tend to feel frustrated by repetition or "silly" humour is not your thing.

    Everything about Puss is overwhelming, and I’m convinced that the game is trying to make you feel like you’re high on catnip. But the absurdity of that conceit works. A part of me was always looking forward to what unexpected combination of visuals, sounds, and puzzle-solving awaited me with each new maze or boss fight. It just sometimes hurt my head to try to comprehend it all.

I bought this game initially because I like cats and it looked weird. The trailer made it seem like it’d be a mix of bullet hell and simple mazes, which I’d probably end up hating. In fact, after the initial world, I ended up getting hooked. There’s a surprising amount of variety on offer, with every level being completely unique and every boss being utterly bizarre. PUSS! is not a game for the faint hearted, but it’s less hardcore than you think. At the very least, wait for a sale and give it a chance."

    I suppose there’s a kind of compulsion to keep playing a aggravatingly difficult game like this for a while, but I also suppose that for mostI suppose there’s a kind of compulsion to keep playing a aggravatingly difficult game like this for a while, but I also suppose that for most people that compulsion wears off pretty quick. It’s shape shifting levels means that unlike other hard games, you don’t have the opportunity to learn and master each section, so don’t have the same sense of achievement. I got this on sale at the same time as towerfall ascension, and that kinda put puss in perspective - because it’s clear which game I’ll keep coming back to. And it’s not puss.… Full Review »
