    Good - It's a polished MOBA and a good time when everything goes right, it has lots of potential.
    Bad - Pay to win for sure. More bugs than I've experienced in almost any pokemon game. Matchmaking has to reconnect 4/10 times. Ranked is trash leaving you stuck playing with beginners when your anything other than a master (highest rank).     Apart from the slight pay to win, this is a great and addictive game with the Pokémon spin added to it.

    Es un buen juego, es adictivo y no pienso que sea un pay2win, puedes conseguir objetos para conseguir efectos especiales, pero la verdad estos poseen un porcentaje de acción muy bajo, además de que consigues muchisimas monedas como para tener que pagar, puedes comprar tu primer pokemon antes de la primera hora de juego... lo recomiendo

    Pretty fun but needs some balancing and yet another micro transaction game in a MOBA no less. Has potential if they can fix these and some other issues.

For a game with casual controls to force players to grind so endlessly or pay up up to $100 just to keep up, that's just unforgivable.     For a MOBA, it's very accessible. Controls are very easy and the moment-to-moment gameplay is simple to understand. Definitely made with children in mind. The unique mechanics are a bit odd and have some balancing issues. The game favors steamrolling, if a group of enemies win a teamfight and all score, they instantly get to full health and there isn't much your team can do about it.

    The mechanics are well-explained but the meta and objectives are poorly directed. Nobody's really sure where to go and it's easy to forget that you don't make any progress defeating enemies without getting points and scoring, which can be unfairly difficult if you're pushed back by a steamrolling team. Especially so with the 10-minute timer, which makes the game more casual but makes comebacks very rare.

    Outside the gameplay, there's classic Tencent scummy freemium practices. The game entices you with beginner quests that dry up and rewards will become scarce. I expect opinion of the game to go down sharply after the 14th day of its existence.    … Expand

    Good graphics, pretty nice combat once you get used to it. There is a bit pay2win in the early game in form of upgrading the held items. But the one thing that pisses me off is the weekly cap on coins... You can play 1000 games but no matter what you need to wait basically a month between buying new pokemon. This is utterly disgusting but that's what we get with tencent.

    P2W micro transactions everywhere. For the low price of ~100$ you too can upgrade your held items to be leagues better than anyone else!

    Descent MOBA Pokemon game more fore the fans maybe then MOBA lovers. It has its flaws but its an overall good game.

    El juego está bien, entretenido y bastante adictivo, muy simple pero como digo, cumple. Lo peor es el balanceo de ciertos pokemon, unos son muy malos e inútiles y otros que apretando todos los botones matas al otro equipo entero tú solo (no es coña, lo he hecho). Un 6.5 le pondría. El problema es el online, en lo que se basa el juego además, va muy mal, caídas de frames constantes, 90% delEl juego está bien, entretenido y bastante adictivo, muy simple pero como digo, cumple. You can purchase the characters with in-game currency you can gain but with a weekly cap it's not even worth playing the game other than maybe a match here or there.     Could possibly be an interesting take on Pokemon, but it's ruined with predatory micro-transactions. Items upgrade at a glacial pace, unless you pay to upgrade them for significant stat and speed boosts, on top of other gacha style gambling mechanics. In a franchise aimed at a younger audience this is unacceptable.

    Not sure what all the cry babies on here are complaining about. With no real mobas on the switch or consoles in general it is good to have one. Then all the people whining about “pay to win” I played for the last couple days without buying a Pokémon and had no issues dropping 12+ kills a game (which no one else had above 5) I did buy a Pokémon for the first time today and still average theNot sure what all the cry babies on here are complaining about.     I played a looooot of LoL in the past, and this game is not substitute for full MOBA. More like simple acade game. For me it is huge advantage. I dont have time for full MOBA. I have a lot of fun. Matches are 5 or 10 minutes long. I wait for mobile version.

    if you are looking for something that is going to compete with the likes of League of Legends or Dota then do not look here. Pokémon Unite is a new breed of MOBAs that is perfect for the average gamer. League and Dota are games that at the end of the day you have to spend countless hours to reach a level of ability that is considered "good". Unite is not only welcoming for new players but it lets people who have day jobs feel as though the can be competitive in the ranked lobbies without having to sacrifice over 90 minutes to play one game. Those that say this game is pay to win, or casual only are not looking at what the game can provide for the average gamer at large.

    If you are a hardcore League player you will not like this game. Everyone is on an even playing field at all times whether they are new or old, because of the "unite license" system that allows you to permanently retain specific Pokémon using either free in game currency, which is extremely easy to come buy, or buy paying for it with real money which is not required in the slightest. the vocabulary for the roles and classes of characters have been dumbed down so that you can pick this game up and instantly know what your job is, and the lack of custom chat feature makes it so you are not able to yell at the people you are playing with.

    This game at its core is a MOBA for all people, and is a great step towards how games should be balanced at launch. If you want to play the next highly competitive E-sport game this is not it by any means, but if you and your friends want something that you can play as a team no matter what your group skill level is this is certainly a fantastic choice and one that will continue to grow over the coming months as it comes to mobile devices as well as the Switch.    … Expand

    Having an absolute blast with the game. Really fun, well made, and I beg to differ on the comments that say it's a pay to win game. Everything can me purchase with time, and actually kinda fast. I haven't experienced any bugs, nor lag or fps drops. It's really stable so far.

    Tldr, the game will shower you with free stuff for the first two weeks and easy challenges to work through, and even then it's very meager for what you really need to unlock more stuff. However after those two weeks you'll progress so slow you be forced to spend money to keep up. Unfortunately this game has to be recommended to avoid

    The Game itself is Pretty Fun, but the Technical Problems are kinda annoying and I hope that they fix them.

    Its' kinda laggy
    The Game is straight up pay 2 win and that's a big no no for me, It's not Pay to win forever, but maxing the Held Items to max is a pain and ruins the fun competetiv Aspects of the Game.

    This game nearly made me break my switch. P2W mechanics, Loot boxes, New Players are overpowered by experienced players. I cannot endorse this game to anyone.

    very simple to learn how to play it, because it doesn't have any complex mechanic like those we find on another MOBA games, like LOL or Dota.

    In short, Pokemon Unite is fun: - The games are short so you'll never be stuck in hour long toxic games, - Tutorial is comprehensive, and you can dive into a game within 15 mins. - The characters have distinct roles but the choice in movesets allows    Having played 6k hours of Dota and dabbled in LoL, I understand it's quite easy to be elitist and precious about favourite our MOBAs.

    In short, Pokemon Unite is fun:
    - The games are short so you'll never be stuck in hour long toxic games,
    - Tutorial is comprehensive, and you can dive into a game within 15 mins.
    - The characters have distinct roles but the choice in movesets allows for enough variety
    - The controls are relatively easy, especially if you've had experience with the right stick aiming.

    BUT....it's going to cost you in the long run. It's already apparent that Absol, Alohan Ninetales, Pikachu and a couple of others are much better on launch. Unlocking better items costs currency. You won't be able to unlock all of these straight away without grinding so you will be forced to pay money. You have to decide how much the game should cost you, will you get enough enjoyment out of it for the same cost as a triple A game and pay accordingly?

    Tencent has a good product on their hands, but like all MOBAs the introduction new characters and balance patches will determine its future    … Expand

    It's not trash, but it's worse than LoL, Dota 2, Smite, Dawngate, Paragon, HoN, Arena of Valor, Vainglory, Battlerite. Unite is at the same level as HotS for me.
    Just for fans, no hxc players.

    great game it is like league of legends but not complete garbage and you canp lay as pikachu but -2 points because all of your teammates are probably 3 years old so 8/10

    Pokemon unite has everything it needs to be a good game but things like the gold cap, the ingame timer (which makes it almost impossible to do comebacks) or items that are purchasble through microtransactions hinder the games fun factor imensely.     Another sh*tty moba. As a Pokemon fan though, I thought I'd try it anyway but I honestly just don't see the appeal in these type of games. They're just not fun. On top of that though, pay 2 win.

    Overall, Pokémon UNITE is a MOBA with a lot of potential. It’s already great as a casual game with friends, but I believe with some tweaking to Zapdos and removal of the “pay for held item upgrades” option, a strong competitive MOBA lives in Pokémon UNITE. Until then, it’s hard to call it much more than an above-average entry in the crowded MOBA space.

    Pokémon Unite is the first attempt at creating a MOBA with the pocket monsters – and I must admit it’s a successful one. The game is fast and intense, but also easy to get a grip on. I don’t expect it to take the esports scene by storm, but it’s very enjoyable and works great in a doctor’s waiting room or on the bus. As for me, I can’t force myself to stop playing Pokémon Unite and hope the developers will keep updating it. [10/2021, p.61]
