Oct 6, 2023Paw Patrol World is a smartly made entry-level open-world video game that does a good job of capturing the appeal of Paw Patrol in video game form. It’s primarily for the younger sect, but it does that by being a playground to explore as opposed to a steep challenge. You play in the world of the TV show in a way that makes this a gateway to the wider world of (mostly quality) video games. As a parent I sometimes need to make compromises. If my kids want to play the cop dog game instead of Roblox, I’ll chalk it up as a win.

Oct 16, 2023Despite its poor finish, the game works. My kid has enjoyed the characters (with the series' original voice actors), and the fact that it's an explorable open world and that every pup had its abilities and goals. It's thus good fun for the little ones and an interesting "my first open-world video game".

Oct 30, 2023PAW Patrol World provides a 3D adventure meant for preschool kids who enjoy the franchise or just want a simple game to play. Though it can be repetitive and won’t pose a challenge to even younger gamers, its open world mechanics and side missions—not to mention all the collectables—still leave room for plenty of enjoyment.

Oct 19, 2023It also leaves a lot to be desired in that its graphics are certainly not impressive by any means and its overall gameplay is incredibly simple and repetitive, even for its target audience. At times, many things feel confusingly implemented and the option for co-op feels a bit like an afterthought. With all that being said, it is still potentially worth giving a chance as there is a lot going on for PAW Patrol World that will help introduce young children to modern gaming in a way that not many other games like it can, however, anyone over the age of the target audience is likely to be unimpressed and quickly bored.
