One of the best third-party offerings yet on the Switch in terms of atmosphere, and memorability, the Switch eShop is better for having the Outlast games on it. Pick them up, adults.

Outlast 2 on Nintendo Switch is pretty amazing. It looks almost as good as its console and PC counterparts, runs very well despite not being 60 frames-per-second, and the new Story Mode difficulty gives you more room to explore.

Outlast 2 knows how you surprise with a crazy and frenetic rhythm of its action, and a great and tetric atmosphere.

Outlast 2 is an adventure that will leave you breathless. It’s exciting from start to finish, now enjoyable wherever we want thanks to the Switch's handled mode. Its new features fit like a glove and, definitely, it’s a game that horror fans shouldn’t miss.

The Switch version of Outlast 2 is not too different from the PC and console versions released last year, and that's surely something, even if some compromises have been made. Content-wise, the game offers a new Story mode and not much else. At the end of the day, Outlast 2 is still a must-have for every survival horror fan out there.

Outlast 2 is full of scares, gorgeous graphics, wonderful use of light and dark, and has a compelling story, but does fall prey to its previous shortcomings.

Outlast II is one of the best looking games on Switch that uses a realistic art style. It’s a showcase of what the hardware is capable of. The game’s story is a wild ride, its setting is terrifying, and there are tons of intense moments as you try to escape from murderous cult members and gut-wrenchingly scary humanoid enemies that are around every corner. I would consider it a must play if you’re a fan of horror games.

Outlast 2 ramps up the tension and the technical achievement from the original, with one of the most stunningly atmospheric game worlds around. The level design has expanded along with your stealth options, creating a handful of truly memorable moments. It definitely isn't for everyone, though. Themes of religious perversion and abuse make Outlast 2 (un)comfortably the most horrific experience on Switch, while the limitations of its stealth mechanics can try the patience.
