For a game that's almost 20 years old, Munch's Oddysee on the Switch holds up incredibly well. It's a fun and creative platformer in an odd world that is still super fun to play and figure out from start to finish. Don't expect any technical leaps forward or special additions to this Switch version. If you already own Munch's Oddysee on another platform, there is not much reason to buy the Switch port, unless you must have a portable version of it at all times.

As previous iterations, Munch's Oddysee lacks the charm from the original 2D games. When it jumped to the 3D real, new doors were open, as new problems, focused in the camera and controls, that are present here. It's a more typical platformer, with easier puzzles. But it still is an endearing game that fans of the series will enjoy.

I decided to create profile here, just to write something about this game XD

So first things first - I really love Oddworld games. I am not a pro gamer with super PC, extra game consoles and plenty of new games to complete. I am a regular noobie gamer, who loves playing games from time to time. Oddworld series has the special place in my heart. When Munch Oddysee was realased, i hadn't console to play it and to be honest i wasn't interested to try it due to this huge change from 2D sidescroll to full 3D. BUT! Now I bought Nintendo Switch... I noticed a special offer for Munch Oddysee - it costs only 7,5 $! I knew that, this is the moment. Let's give it a try, and answer the question - is it worth it, to play this game or better not to touch it...

And what can I say.. It's totally crap for me. The story of empire of Glukkons, Sligs and their Mudokon slaves, plays not even a second role - it's forth or fifth role XD The game looks more like Rayman or Kao Challengers with modifications. I am playing this game for almost 3 hours straight, and it's super boring, lagging and it's completly separated form classic Oddworld series.

You need to collect some green blobs to complete levels. The Sligs are now not even scary. You can beat them with your bare hands - that's right XD Now you can fight with Sligs by mashing the button on console, and punching them along with your Mudokkons. Chanting costs you those "green blobs" points. Meeting with other Mudokons is terrible due to the noises. When you say "hello" to them, everyone respond you at the same time. It's so feaking loud, that console speakers sounds like guitar distortion. The second main character, named Munch it's more like an obstacle than assistant. And what is funny, his role is to save a furry, little pets, that squeaking even worse than mentioned group of Mudokons.

Maybe this game was attractive in 2000', but for me, this game is a joke. I preffer to play once again old version of Oddworld (or maybey New'n'Tasty) than playing this. I will try to complete this game, but I don't know if I am patient enough...

/update. It's been another few hours playing this game. Unfortunatley I can't change my opinion :( Besides things I mentioned above, you also need prepare yourself for bugs and glitches... Abe can stuck between textures and you can only restart the level or load quick save (if you saved) to "rescue" him. Eh.
