May 10, 2021Repetitive, boring and shockingly overpriced. I really wish I bought a hard copy, rather than digital, so I could have sold it. My most regrettable Switch title purchase.
-
May 2, 2021Exactly what you would expect if you played the original. Great animation and quality. Getting the 2 analog sticks confused is my only hang up.

May 2, 2021Don’t know why people are hating on this game. The original came out in 1999, it was intended for children. It’s 2021, it’s made for children. Sorry the mechanics aren’t perfect for you 30 year olds. Bunch of salty people. Anyways the game is fun! Lots of Pokémon with pretty graphics. Great sense of nostalgia.

May 2, 2021Es muy entretenido, rejugable y bonito. Para decir que sería mejor si fuese de mundo abierto, una de dos, o no has jugado al juego o tienes serios problemas neuronales que te impiden no cagarte encima.

May 2, 2021Apparently people didn't understand the concept. It's SNAPping pictures of POKEMON. It wasn't advertised as anything else, and it delivers on what it advertised. If y'all don't like the concept, that's your problem. It's a visually beautiful game, true to the original with new twists.

May 2, 2021I'm not joking when I say this: best Pokémon game I've ever played. It's so charming, pretty (for capabilities of the Switch hardware) and well-animated. Animation was a big complaint about Sword and Shield, and I'm hoping some of the animation team here will move on to Legends Aeceus. Good job, Bandai Namco!

May 2, 2021Incredible game. The original was my favourite game of all time and this is 100 times better.
-
May 2, 2021I had low expectations but this game really delivered with a plethora of new features and excellent gameplay. I loved the original but this game is full of much more gameplay and content
-
May 2, 2021No evaluation feature is really sad because that was an amazing part of the original. Relatively short but with high replay value.
-
May 3, 2021I like a lot how it looks! It reminds me the yeara when i played the pokemon snap in my n64, i wish to play this version someday
-
May 3, 2021After two decades of waiting, New Pokemon Snap has proven to be a worthy predecessor to the N64 original. The artstyle and animations are all very well realized. The music is really good. Sometimes the loading screens seem to be a bit janky, and I wish you could keep more pictures. Good game.

May 2, 2021A lovely game. So cute to see Pokémon in their natural environment going about their business in the way their personalities are described. Super fun

May 2, 2021This game has been amazing so far!! At first I was not sure if I would like this type of game since I have not enjoyed Pokemon spin-off before, but this game is a positive exception! Amazing looking game with a lot stuff to do. Pokemons interact with you which is huge plus. I have already used many hours by taking pictures of different Pokemons and finishing tasks. 10/10

May 2, 2021I've been waiting for this game for over 20 years. It's exactly what I expected from a sequel. Pure nostalgia.

CD-ActionDec 7, 2021In a nutshell: as a researcher, you travel to various places, interact with wild Pokémon and take photos to document their behavior. This simple concept only works thanks to the Pokémon, but it doesn’t have to be a drawback, because the game shows the world of pocket monsters more realistically and vividly than any title before it. [07/2021, p.72]

Ninty Fresh MagazineDec 3, 2021New Pokémon Snap looks beautiful and is packed full of exciting Pokémon, but the increased complexity has brought the game to a grinding halt. [Issue #4, p.51]

Nintendo Force MagazineOct 6, 2021New Pokémon Snap isn't totally perfect, but it is a lovingly, intelligently updated take on a now 22-year-old original that only came to life because it was imbued with Mr. Iwata's magic. I know seeing this sequel would have made him smile. [Issue #53 – July/August 2021, p. 69]
