Jan 31, 2025Neptunia Riders Vs. Dogoos is frustrating. For fans of the series, it’s fun and hits all the right notes. It’s just over way too quickly and the developers missed a real opportunity to make this a dynamite multiplayer experience. It’s also so totally reliant on appealing to existing fans that it’s going to completely fail to find a new audience for the broader Hyperdimension property. It could have been so much more for all audiences, but as it is will simply be a fun little spinoff while we continue to wait for the next big step forward for this delightful series and its characters.

Jan 30, 2025Sadly, Neptunia Riders VS Dogoos feels more like an expanded mini-game rather than a fleshed-out experience. Given the franchise’s reference-filled saga, it would be great to see the cast star bring their banter to action games. But here, there’s not enough style or substance to hold attention spans for more than a few hours.

Jan 27, 2025I think if you’re a fan of the Hyperdimension Neptunia series and just want to see more of the characters and play an easy action game without using much brain power, this may satisfy that itch. But for those looking for more out of the titles they choose to spend $40 on, this three-hour escapade may not be for you.

The concept is fun but poorly executed thanks to muddied visuals and unsatisfying driving mechanics. Fans may enjoy the character interactions but may still be put off by how much of a departure it is.

Apr 15, 2025As a side or minigame, Neptunia Riders vs Dogoos might be kind of fun…for about an hour, but as a nearly full price game, something like this is tough to swallow. The whole thing can be beaten in a few hours, and the gameplay is entirely derivative, bland and lacking much in the way of anything interesting. Idea Factory should stick more with the ecchi games or themes, as that's what they're best at.
