Monster Slayers was fairly fun but can't hold a candle to Slay the Spire. I beat the game with the Rogue though there are several other characters you can continue on with.

Game(s) like: Slay the Spire Pros: - I liked the dungeon layouts and how you had choices to explore Cons: - The interface was pretty bad - Equipment seemed like a hassle - The main issue is I didn't feel

    Pros:

    Cons:
    - The interface was pretty bad

    - The main issue is I didn't feel like I was making tactical decisions per fight. Like you didn't know what the monster was going to do on his turn so you just always tried to max your block, hp, and damage every turn and hope the monster didn't kill you.

Most of the choices here are pulled from games that have come before it, so it ends up feeling like a mish-mash of good choices other developers have made. The visual style, though still fine-looking, feels uninspired and, again, recycled from other games from equally equipped developers. That said, the game isn’t much of an investment, so if you’re looking for something solid but not revolutionary, this could be the game for you.

Monster Slayers is a fun and deep adventure that lets the player decide how they want to approach it. Even with a complex battle system, the harsh difficulty curve may be enough to turn many players off once they’ve completed the first dungeon. At the end of the day, the sheer joy of building a deck that suits your own playstyle is what makes this game special. Monster Slayers is one game not to overlook, if you’re even remotely interested.
