    Monster Hunter rise is a huge leap forward for the series. Sunbreak makes it even better. Ignore all the negative reviews. It’s easily worth the money.

    Good DLC & Update

    I love how they improve even further with the combat or weapons mechanic in Sunbreak. I'm Hammer Main and I never imagined that Hammer could become that aggressive with the addition of "Courage" Play-style for Hammer and of course for other weapon as well. Although, I do agree with some of the negative review regarding the content of Sunbreak which is "Not Enough"    Good DLC & Update

    Although, I do agree with some of the negative review regarding the content of Sunbreak which is "Not Enough" monster wether its the new one or even the returning one. Well, they add a lot of missions on Sunbreak as I'm still have a lot of Quests to complete but getting bored pretty easily after I beat the end-game monster due to no new monster to hunt.

    Come on, where's Tetsucabra? Hojo is riding one in Kamura Village which makes me expecting it to be on Sunbreak at the very least. Well, at least you do bring back my favorite monsters, Astalos.    … Expand

    Unreasonably powerful monsters - check
    New doggo and cat gears - check
    Yeah, this is classic G rank expansion of monster hunter series.
    what did you expect? Totally worth it.

    Capcom nunca defrauda con las versiones "G" o Ultimate, la expansión es "monstruoso."
    Lo único que no me gustó demasiado fue que hay guardado cruzado como The Witcher 3 por ejemplo, una función que ha estado en la saga desde 3U y Gen.

    Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak has a much better end game than World's Iceborne.
    It also has superior armor and weapon aesthetics and a better roster of monsters, plus the skill and arts added offer a lot more depth to weapons and playstyles than the clutchclaw ever did. Easily worth it for the amount of customization and replayability being offered.

    Building on top of already amazing game and improving it even further. It seems they took a lot of critique of the base game to the heart and delivered truly epic expansion. Easily one of the best Monster Hunter experiences so far and one of the best Switch games.

    Sunbreak added less monsters than Iceborne did to World but that is to balance out that base Rise had started more monsters. Joyed they remade Jungle for Sunbreak, though for me to give them a higher score they could have included 1 more map and added more brute wyverns, as there are only 2 at the moment, Barroth and Anjanath. Overall framerate performance is lower than base Rise though,Sunbreak added less monsters than Iceborne did to World but that is to balance out that base Rise had started more monsters. Joyed they remade Jungle for Sunbreak, though for me to give them a higher score they could have included 1 more map and added more brute wyverns, as there are only 2 at the moment, Barroth and Anjanath. Overall framerate performance is lower than base Rise though, and Sunbreak is more prone to fps drops especially when looking at fire animations, talking to the smithy, looking at the moving train or fiery chimneys in town fighting with particle heavy monsters such as Teostra. I prefer the OST and theme of added monsters in Sunbreak as they removed the vocals, and overall the remaster and composition of the new monster themes are top notch, especially with Astalos.… Expand

    Amazing!! Been playing for around 20 hours since 3am launch day and I've been totally hooked. Amazing expansion to an already amazing game. Must buy for MH fans!

If you think this is not worth your money, you are absolutely wrong, this is not just an expansion, it's a whole new game. The devs have listened to all the complaints about base Rise and brought a solution to them.     A really funny and good expansion too the base game. It´s a bit expensive but worth the price.
    I recommend it for every Monster Hunter Fan.

    Honestly, I had high expectations for the base game Rise. After I beat it really quickly, I felt unmotivated to do anything else. It still didn't scratch that itch that World gave, let alone Iceborne. However, just like Iceborne, Sunbreak expanded in a better way.

    The combat is more versatile now with the addition of switch skills. It's basically switching your weapon's playstyle with    Honestly, I had high expectations for the base game Rise. However, just like Iceborne, Sunbreak expanded in a better way.

    The combat is more versatile now with the addition of switch skills. It's basically switching your weapon's playstyle with more silk skills and/or regular moveset. It's made Switch Axe a blast to play.

    People need to remember that even with Iceborne, the game got better overtime with more features like the Guiding Lands, Safijiva, or Fatalis. As it is now, you can get an enjoyable several dozen hours or so of monster hunting entertainment before the next update because let's face it there are many good games to play right now.    … Expand

    Improves on the base game in several meaningful ways. Great new monsters, variants, wirebug mechanics, and a decent endgame that addresses concerns with difficulty. Pacing is a little off at the start of MR questing, but there's enough to do to make it enjoyable. Road map content release allows endgame grind to feel less stale knowing there is more yet to come which hasn't been full revealed yet.

    An amazing expansion. Most games nowadays will make you pay the same price for 3 new skins and extra square foot to explore. So grateful that Capcom is willing to put this much effort and love into their expansions. The citadel and jungle are both amazing to explore and fight in, the new monsters feel unique and charismatic, while the returning ones have been well revamped to provide aAn amazing expansion.     Fantastic add on that imporeves the base game. The music the combat is top tier. The game has the best endgame content yet in the franchise howver for me it became too grindy. The anomaly system is a perfect endgame loop but the level requirements are far too high in my opinion.     I will say that this expansion has its flaws. I find that the endgame is a tad bloated, which is ironic given that base game lacked an endgame for the most part. The combat being centered around the wirebugs is a bit annoying due to stuff like Wirebug being overpowered. There weren't nearly as many new monsters at launch as there were at Iceborne's launch. Weapon Balance is all out ofI will say that this expansion has its flaws. I find that the endgame is a tad bloated, which is ironic given that base game lacked an endgame for the most part.     But even at launch, it was a massive, MASSIVE improvement over the overall meh experience that was base Rise. Difficulty, an endgame as mentioned, a Hyper-adjacent endgame grind, it was all there.

    And of course, the updates added a lot to bring it closer in line with Iceborne-- lots of new monsters, the Risen Elders, Anomaly Investigations, etc.

    For as many problems as it has, it's still an excellent expansion that I can't recommend enough to anyone new or returning to the franchise.    … Expand

    All in all, Sunbreak's endgame has more depth, and obviously there's more challenge here too. It brings about creative new creatures to fight and creative new characters to fight alongside. You just may have a hard time convincing your friends to clear their cobwebs to return and fight alongside you too! [Issue #62 – November/December 2022, p. 25]

    If you’ve finished Rise through and through, this expansion is something you will deeply cherish. A continuation of the adventure, filled with new challenges and content. Even old material is not simply recycled but given a new life. If only it was a bit cheaper…

    Monster Hunter Rise was a fast, frenetic entry into the long-standing series, and Sunbreak improved even further on it. This title update is the first of many, according to Capcom. If you want to enjoy Monster Hunter at its flashiest, speediest, and by far its most crazy, Rise and its update Sunbreak are more than perfect for you.
